This is a great cable with solid construction at high-stress points. The connectors are very tight, but not so tight that they scrape up the jacks. They fit very snugly and securely. The connector jackets are metal and they have a nice matte, kind of sandblasted feel to them. Both the connectors and the cable have nice tactile properties. Also, the UGREEN logo is only on one side of each jacket, so it's easy to tell what orientation the USB is in before plugging it in. That's a big plus for me as I always seem to guess wrong. So far I've used this cable to charge at four different currents (5V @ 1.0A, 5V @ 1.6A, 5V @ 2.0A, and 9V @ 1.6A) and it appears to work well with all four, charging faster with greater current instead of stepping it down to a lower current. It's certainly capable of modern high-speed charging. My only complaint is that the cable is a bit stiff and doesn't like to conform or twist very much, so if you have a device plugged in and move the cable too much it causes the microUSB end to apply a twisting force inside the device and I'm concerned it could lead to a loose connection over time. I have braided audio cables that don't exhibit this property, so it's not just because it's braided. It's a minor problem and doesn't affect the usability of the product at all if you leave the device still or don't move around too much.

Bought this product a few years ago and it's still working like new. Also the cord connections are still working like new. Also this cord is fast charging compatible.

Q: Is it long enough? A: It’s 6 feet. That’s enough length to plug in my controller and still sit comfortably on the couch without leaning forward like a gargoyle. Q: Does it charge fast? A: Faster than my metabolism slowed down after 40. Q: Durability? A: The connectors feel solid. It snaps in with a reassuring click. It hasn't frayed yet, unlike my nerves.

I bought these for my wife. She has used them for just a few weeks and is not hard on them so it's no surprise that they are still working. They do seem well made though. Be aware that there are some inaccuracies on the webpage for these cables as well as the newer version. Initially, a UGREEN rep said this: "There is no difference between the two cables except their appearances." That was clearly contrary to the illustrations, and published specs, so I asked again and got this reply from UGREEN: "In terms of the transmitting speed and charging power, these two cables are the same. Their AWG specifications are both 28AWG +22AWG, and we have reported it to our colleague to make a correction. The only difference between them is their connectors. One is nickel-plated, and the other is gold-plated which is more expensive and anti-corrosion." ~ Had I known that before ordering I probably would have purchased the less expensive cables, because while gold is technically better than nickel, it just doesn't matter in an application like this (USB cables). The cheaper cables appeared to have better strain reliefs, slightly smaller power wires (#23 gauge) and better construction -- but that is based on the illustrations which the UGREEN CSR said are not accurate. Still, even if it is true that, "The only difference between them is their connectors. One is nickel-plated, and the other is gold-plated...", as a technician I can't see spending tice as much for gold plating.

I use these in my daily work environment; a full motion MD80 Jet flight simulator platform. Its a tough environment and in the past we were plagued by cheap cables and connectors. These are super strong and really are well worth the cost. They hold up just fine in the zoo we have put them in .. . so don't hesitate to buy them. Fast delivery, and high quality product.

What I like about this super charging cord is that it charged my phone fast and that it's compatible and it was able to connect with my laptop as well is my PC, to my phone. What I used this cord on (prior to charging my phone), I used it to connect My Dualshock 4 (Ps4) controller to the Playstation 4 system and charged it as well.

I bought this cable as a replacement for my original Samsung USB charging cable that came with the phone. The original cable lasted several years, but in the end the copper wires broke where they enter the Micro USB connector. This part of the connector did not have a strain relief. The Ugreen cable exterior is protected by a textile sheath, the ends of which are apparently molded into the plastic ends of the two USB connectors (which are stiff plastic and therefore not really a strain relief, even though they may look so in the item's pictures). This prevents the ends of the threads to fray. The cable is quite stiff. Like all signal cables, sharp bending should be avoided, especially near the connectors, and the stiffness may help as a reminder not do do this. At the same time, the cable tends to remain straight, rather than kinked. The connectors are apparently gold-plated, and their general appearance is high-end. I don't know the diameter of the copper wires, but the diameter and weight of the cable do suggest a generous use of copper, which is necessary to support the quick-charge function without heating or voltage drops. Cheap USB cables skimp on copper and use the bare minimum of it, which is not good for this function and can encourage breakage on repeated folding. The cable works well both when charging the phone and carrying data.

I use this cable for both charging my Samsung S7 Edge phone and also for data transfer to a desktop PC. It is well engineered, nicely flexible and resistant to kinking. The connectors are some of the nicest I've seen, they fit precisely and firmly. The braided outer is pleasant to handle and probably helps maintain the shape of the cable. All UGREEN cables I've tried have been excellent and this is no exception. High quality at a fair price. Recommended.
