This Lidocaine gel had a good relief from the local deep down pain from a shingles flare either the initial attack or subsequent ones in following weeks that come whenever they want to. Though I bought it to try for helping with the pain deep down with these attacks but I also realized it was great too for relief from the shingles intense itching and sensitivities to slightest touch or breath of wind on the skin that causes the awful pain.. This medication I used with a long curve-handled lotion applicator and foam pad that doesn’t soak up the gel before you apply the one I use mostly is a dense hard 1” approx depth of oval foam pad on one end of the curved bath type wand for using for exfoliating applying soapy lather or for the shingles’ use I works great if you have shingles on your back and have trouble reaching to apply this lotion/gel. It works great. Good lock to you! I had to try to make up a way of applying the anti itch and pain reliever all on my own as I’m a widow and this attack hit me around my mid trunk so was inconvenient in applying creams or lotions. But this gel works so great in 6 wks time I have bought another 2 tubes about 3 times! Thank you for such a great product! My illness isn’t quite over as I’ve been told it can come back any time during the next year after the original attack. Get this and you’ll be set for maximum relief!I wanted to say I’m 6-7 weeks into this shingles attack with 5 flares besides the initial attack- always along the same nerve “Dermatrome” which is the spinal nerve that is being attacked by the virus and it followed from my left upper thoracic around to the left and around under my arm. It never left the area but each time I had another mini attack it filled more of the rash. So between the old attacks and new I was sure needing some pain relief but almost more than that the itching that drives you crazy. None of the creams saying it was for itching from bug bites, eczema ever helped and this was sure the best of everything I tried and believe me I really think I tried everything for things like that.. I highly recommend this product for shingles attacks which it doesn’t say this on the tubes but it works!

I've tried several brands of 5% lidocaine creams, and several are very good. But, this one is very good, and the least expensive, mainly bacause of cheaper packaging. It comes in a somewhat bulky squeeze tube, which I empty out into a 5 ounce jar which once contained another brand of lidocaine. It's easier to use when you can just dip a fingertip in and apply where you need it. Especially for anal pain, and a finger tip is the best tool for that. As for the product itself, it works great, if applied in small batches, over a 20 minute period, say, spread out, 3 applications over 18 minutes you'll get numb and stay numb for a good 2-3 hours. I absolutely love it. Two tubes will last me for 2 to 3 years hopefully. I try to be frugal.

This is the absolute best value out there for high percentage lidocaine without an RX. The relief was very noticeable. I will never be without it again.

Got this for my tattoo appointment. I have a lot of tattoos and decided I’ve earned my bones and can use a cream going forward. lol. I’m literally at my appointment right now. Put it on, covered with plastic wrap for an hour and a half to bake in. Absorbed really well. Not watery. Use a lot!!!! 4 hours in on my leg sleeve and this stuff is still working. Not 100% numb but guessing that’s impossible anyway. Did my knee and my knee ditch shading. It went really well. Huge help with pain. Will keep using this brand. Did my ankle and the achilles tendon. Felt most of the ankle but it helped 90% of masking the achilles tendon pain.

It goes on easy enough. The tube is ackward but all in all it seemed to help me .

Does what it says . What a relief. Stops the pain

THE PRODUCT IS VERY GOOD BUT THE TUBE IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN WITHOUT HANDS THAT HAVE THE STRENGTH OF SUPERMAN. I KNOW IT IS DONE THAT WAY TO PROTECT CHILDREN. NEVERTHELESS HAVE A LITTLE CARE FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO REALLY NEED TO NUMB PAIN ASAP.

The lid is a push and twist type.However, it is nearly impossible to open. I ended up using scissors to cut off a bottom corer of the tube and squeezed the cream out into another container. This meant that I lost quite a bit of the cream.Insult to injury, as I was cleaning the scissors, I ended up cutting my thumb!Altho it claims to be the same 5% lidocaine as another brand I'd been using, it doesn't seem to last as long or be as effective as the other brand. Not sure why that would be.Unless you are really really strong, I do not recommend buying these impossible to open tubes.
