Discreet and effective.
This extender solved my problem: Handlebars with aero routing of cables have little space for accessories. I would have purchased this a couple years ago, but I thought a handlebar extender would span the width of the handlebar and would be ugly. I had little interest in a large, conspicuous product. Thank goodness this product is only wide enough to mount at minimum 3 accessories with comfortable space between. This product makes me smile because you might be able to link more of these extenders together to install even more accessories. So...is it really carbon? I don't know and I don't care. It's light and those handlebar stays are sturdy. One of my photos shows the scratches I put on the bar during installation. If it's a carbon bar, a clear plastic coating protects the bar, but that coating scratches easily. I do not care about the scratches. I expect I will have accessories installed on that bar at all times. My other photo shows there is only 3.5 CM of space between a 31.8mm handlebar and this extender. Those space limitations forced me to install a bike light mount facing toward my seat (and turn it 180 degrees so it would shine forward) because there was no way to install it with correct orientation. You might see some reviews that say this extender fails to clamp the handlebar, which causes it to drop down and become useless. If you have a 31.8 handlebar, you will not need to use the shims and this device will not allow that extender bar to move anywhere. I found this installed quickly and securely. For those of you asking if this extension is suitable as a handle, I would say no. It's just for installing bike accessories and it creates only 3.5 CM of space between your handlebar and this accessory bar. I have purchased 3 other GUB accessories; this company knows milled aluminum handlebar mounts. The greatest compliment I can offer this company is that I am going to buy another one of these extenders for my other bike.

Awesome!
Love the look, the feel, cost was great! The length fits perfectly on my bike and Iām able to mount 2 lights and a switch. The functionality works well, can adjust forward or back depending on preference. The durability seems great as it is made of aluminum brackets and the pipe is carbon fiber. Would highly recommend!

Does the job. Not perfect though.
Pro's: it does provide extra bar space to mount other devices. It is light and seems durable enough (time will tell).Cons: The bar mount could be longer to allow more hand room beneath the bar and also raise a light even more to get over large front bags. As noted in another review. The bar is has a very small diameter. So you may need to add padding to device mounts so that they will work on it. I guess better than the opposite ... bar too big.Overall its worth the money though.

Very light and compact, strong enough for everything except your actual hands.
I'm minimalist on my bike, but in addition to items I always have, such as bell and a couple of front facing lights, on occasion, especially for longer trios or bikepacking I have a bunch of stuff I want out front. And I have little to no room remaining on handlebars of my stock trek 730 setup.Occasionally I want the phone out front, a handbar bag, in some very off the beaten track, a garmin, and sure, why not, a faux pro.So I started looking at these extensions. Many are unnecessarily long, some have small USB power banks and/or integrated headlights. But frankly this "G UB" 20 cm/8" long extension, combined with existing space on my handlebars, is all I need for an entire suite of gizmos plus a good size handlebar bag. i could not be happier. The clamp system is strong enough for weight of a bag with a fair amount of bike tools and stuff, a somewhat heavy 22oz spare water bottle, and a few gizmos. I can set it higher than my handlebars, the same height, or as usually the case, lower, and it does not spin down even on trails.I will recommend you keep track of the rubber shim like pieces since the provided bar is of considerably smaller circumference than most handlebars, and most items will require those rubber strips. But if you do lose track of them, some electric tape, or some pieces from an old tire tube, will work very well.BTW I see in the q/a some people asking about using these as actual auxiliary handlebars. Absolutely do NOT do this as neither the bar piece nor the clamping system are anywhere near as robust as you would need for that. 10lbs of gizmos/bag/water bottle? Yes. But 30, 40, 50, 60 lbs of dynamic weight using them as secondary handlebars? NO.

Fits most bars, added bar length to fit more items on
Pro's: Lightweight, can almost fit all bike bars, easy to installCon's: Cheap quality feels like PVC bar, smaller than I thought, will not hold anything heavy.

The Real McCoy
This was a piece of cake to install and adjust. The cf is amazingly light weight. I have an electronic bell on main handlebar of my stand-up e scooter, plus oem bell, so I use this for my bike light with rubber strap. I can still add another accessory or two, although I don't have a need to get a phone mount. I'm sure I'll come up with something else. The cf bar definitely adds to the look of my scooter. I would purchase this again if needed, w/o reservation.

Clamps tight
One end of the clamps is larger than the other. The small end clamps down on the additional bar. The package comes with plastic spacers for attaching to smaller bars. I have a Handlebar that morphs from the large size to the small size. I used slices of an old inner tube to give grip and the clamp seems to be holding well.
