Works Great
They did exactly what I was hoping they would do. They held the metal and when cooled slightly the metal fell right out. Wonderful product.

Work great once the finish is burned off.
I have 4 of these now. They're awesome for ingot casting Aluminum, Copper, Brass, Lead, Bismuth, and I might ruin one trying to cast Iron in a Cast Iron mold, but if I kill it I'll order another.Things to note:1. The finish will burn off and ruin your ingots with bubbles/smoke, so either put them in your forge/furnace till it burns off, or cast 2-3 scrap ingots to burn the finish off before trying to make a clean one. They will rust a bit without the finish, but it doesn't effect future castings and comes off with a wire brush. Re-oil them if you're going to store them for a while.2. A few of mine came with some lumps and spalling on the inside. Make sure to grind any irregularities off before casting or your ingot WILL get stuck in the mold. Don't worry about the finish as you're going to burn it off anyhow.3. I need a few larger ones. Do you have 200/500/1000oz.?

the box they were in was beat to death, flaps busted open, corners crushed, molds were fine.
I have not set up the foundry yet so have not used them. I will look into the possibility of being able to polish the inside of the molds, they are a little rough on the inside. I am also converting a pallet into a rolling platform to mount fire bricks on to do all melting and pouring on so that any spilled metal will be caught in a bowl of fire bricks so none of the metal will land on the patio concrete, and the whole thing can be rolled inside when not used.

Has done what it needs to do
The mold has held up nicely. I've dropped it multiple times unintentionally of course. Transfers heat like cast iron should. I'd buy again.

Should have made my own
Nice size. 2 ingots and the 3/4 inch snap. I should have sand the inside or put butter I guess, as you can tell on the aluminum the texture made it a pleasure and a waste of propane waiting for me to have the ingot out for the next 1. Buy angle iron and make your own, time is money.
