Solano Super 3700 Moda Professional Hair Dryer

When I was living in Europe my favorite hair dryer used to be Rowenta with sensor on/off function (hold the dryer and it automatically blows, release it and it automatically stops). In 2011 I was looking for same or similar hair dryer here in the States. Turned out it was not for sale in the USA, probably due to potential safety or legal issues. So I went on Amazon looking for the higher end hair dryer. This brand caught my eye and after extensive research I placed an order for Solano Supersolano 3700 Moda and  Solano Supersolano 3500 Lite Professional Hair Dryer  to compare them and pick one. There were conflicting reviews indicating that the 3700 model was too powerful and not so good for fine hair. I had waist length fine hair with keratin extensions back in 2011. I then had a chin length hair style. My hair grew a lot since then and is waist length right now. My hair still remains fine and frizzy. If I don't brush it while it's wet and style it with a blow dryer it looks messy and unmaintained. I do not use hair irons as they damage hair a lot and it's really easier for me to use hair dryer to straighten my hair. I ended up keeping the 3700 model and returning the 3500. Supersolano 3700 does the job of straitening long hair pretty good. When comparing these 2 models I can tell that 3700 felt more like a professional dryer. Solano will also cover the cost to return ship the product.Conclusion:After 5 years of use this hair dryer still works perfectly fine. It's also not as bulky as other professional hair dryers and it has travelled with me to many destinations.Would I buy it again? Yes. Would I recommend it to my friends and relatives? Yes.

This dryer is not worth the money. It would not turn on after less than three months. When I called the customer service line, they told me they would not repair it at no charge because I had not "registered" the product within 30 days of purchase!! They are charging me $30 plus shipping both ways to fix their faulty product! Then, the customer service agent was blaming ME for not registering it, saying it was on the fine print. That doesn't meet customer expectations, particularly given the steep price tag. Buyer BEWARE!

I purchased this to replace a 1 week old Chi Air hair dryer. The Chi died on the second use, returned to place of purchase immediately and did not purchase another one, why repurchase an obviously poorly made dryer.I have had my previous Solano hair dryers for 10 years and had to replace one as I dropped it and it broke something inside, the other one I still have but is extremely cumbersome, so after the Chi fiasco, I decided to go back to my tried and true brand.I am more than thrilled with it, the power of this is amazing and hot enough to dry my hair quickly with added shine and smoothness without frying my hair. It is not as heavy as the older Solano's (which is why I thought to try the Chi as it is lightweight)This dryer is easy to handle, does the job and is solid and dependable.In my opinion, the lightweight, featherweight etc. dryers are very flimsy and don't last.If your looking for a long lasting, solidly made and effective hair dryer-give it a try.

No idea what happened. Stored the dryer in a drawer, it was also kept away from water. No visible damage, never dropped. Cord is fully intact, never left plugged in when not in use, cord was never tightly wrapped or coiled. Always kept clean and free of dust on the back vent. Yet, it still died after 1 year of weekly use. Very disappointed. Not worth the price. This is my 2nd Solano hair dryer. First was purchased back in the early 2000s. That one lasted me 10+ years. Construction was clearly much better then. Sad to have lost all faith in the brand.

I have been in search of the perfect hairdryer for years! I did quite a bit of research this time and found another review on this Solano. It is exactly as wonderful as the people who reviewed it before me said. I previously purchased an expensive hair dryer (T5 for $145) and I went through two within a few months - both fell apart in my hands. This Solano is solid quality but lightweight and compact at the same time. It blows the perfect amount of air at each setting, and has enough different settings to give me the temperature and air strength I want depending on my hair style. The long cord is very convenient, as are the placement of the buttons (my last dryer had buttons placed where I accidentally hit them all the time while drying my hair). I only wish it came with dual voltage switch so I could use it overseas too.

After wavering for months, I finally took the leap to purchase the 3700moda Supersolano. WOW! Being skeptical, I didn't expect a difference. Combining with the Solano brushes dries my hair faster and with more shine. The first day, people were asking what I had done differently. After a month of use, I LOVE this dryer. After expecting to be disappointed and return the dryer, I won't give it up for anything. I purchased the Solano 1.25 Flat iron and all three brushes. The prices make these an indulgence but so worth it.

Heavy hair dryer! I purchased it and used it a few times, but returned it because I wasn't happy with it. It's heavy, the temperature wasn't consistent, and would not stay warm. It dried super fast but too fast that I couldn't style my hair in time. Overall, it offered nothing for my hair. My hair looked limp and lacked the shine I was looking for. I also didn't like where the control button are located as it get's in the way of holding the device.

My wife has had this for a year, loves it. Make sure you get the Disperser or whatever it is called.

Great so far but doesn't get very hot on the lower speed setting which kinda sucks. But still good overall. You can tell it's good quality.

Great product. The only issue I have is the button placement, I’m always turning it off accidentally.

I'm a professional hairdresser, been in the business for many years, have used this dryer before, by far the best of any I have ever used. It has some weight to it, but as it is so well balanced it doesn't bother me. The payoff for the extra weight is an amazingly powerful motor.The wattage can be deceiving as it can all be in the heat element with a weak motor. Not this one!

Made in Italy! And it shows! The build quality is immediately obvious. This was a gift for my wife, she is very happy with it. At first glance I wondered about the plastic looking "shields" on the side...turns out they are rubber like and do a great job of preventing the dryer from sliding off the counter from the weight of the cord - this was a problem with her previous cheap imported dryer. The performance is excellent - the heat control is almost instant. It works far better and faster than her old cheap one. She also received a made in China Avanti dryer that has goofy l.e.d. lights, a gift which was purchased at a high end salon for a similar cost. She is keeping the Solano as it is so much better.
