Overall good fan
So, not too many products are completely without their faults and this one is no exception. I mounted this in an RV in the place of an under cabinet light we literally never used. The fan has already been used on one trip more often than the light was used over multiple years! That said, the fan has very little upward and downward movement for directional placement. In other words your pretty much set on blowing air at what's near the fans mounting level. The 360 degree surround movement is great and we can swivel this fan to face wherever we want but upward and downward leave a lot to be desired. The fan moves a lot of air on high but as all metal bladed fans tend to be, it comes at the expense of noise. Doesn't bother us as the fan is generally for use when underway but it's worth noting for those intending to have a quieter fan for sleep. This one wouldn't be it. Overall we are happy with the fan and going to pick up another soon for the dinette under cabinet light too. These aren't just great for when underway when the dash ac just isn't enough but work great when boondocking!

Maybe I just got lucky...
... but this fan is perfect. Unless I just lucked out, I really don't know why anybody would have a complaint about it. Very solid, sturdy, and not nearly as loud as I expected reading some of the reviews. Moves a ton of air too. No complaints!

It blows.
Truck has the old R-12 spec A/C that hasn’t been cold since the 90s which would’ve needed to be converted to modern Freon to work and I didn’t want to put that kind of money into it. Was looking for a classic metal trucker fan, and not one of those ugly plastic cheapo units. This ones perfect, mounted to the dash easy enough, plugs into the cigarette lighter, and has a rubber base piece to control vibration. For 20 ish bucks and prime delivery it’s way better than sitting in hot stagnant air. Low speed is nice and quiet and high speed does move a good amount of air. Hopefully it lasts a while.

Was Wired Backwards internally
the fan was wired Backwards internally when it first arrived. took a while to figure it out but after taking it apart and switching it around it worked fine. using it on a work boat and its working good, 4 stars for the wiring issue.

Good Fan
I have two of these and they are great fans. I will agree that are a little loud, but I've had other fans and they are not any louder. Some have posted that they don't move much air, but I my experience has been different as I think they move a large amount of air for their small size. Anyway, they came quickly, the quality is fine - one of mine has hundreds of hours on it, and they work very well. They are an excellent fan at this price point.

I should have purchased a jet turbine instead! Incredibly loud and obnoxious dB whining!
My headline explains it all! Sounds more like a jet turbine engine! How are we suppose to concentrate on anything when this high whine noise maker is turned on?The fan looks super nice and gives the illusion that it will get the job done and get it done well.Fact of the matter is...even on its lowest settings you're gonna think you are outside, at an international airport, eating ice cream with your kids as you watch the monster jets take off!To be honest with you, I am not sure what causes the loud whining noise with these fans [yes, I was deceived into purchasing more than one of them]. Bearings? Poor fan blade design? Poor motor windings? Perhaps only God knows! The only thing I know is don't purchase this unless you have ear protection and are gonna sit a few hundred feet away!Ok, maybe I am exaggerating a little...but in all honesty, I wouldn't buy another one of these if I had to remain in the same room with it.

Noisey, noisey and noisey.
Might as well list what I don't like about this fan. Did I mention noise? Yeah, even on low it is an attention grabber. There are a few screws and bolts that were cast, but everything else is made from stamped metal, even a few nuts. But it does look good. The motor is not ventilated, so there is going to be a lifespan problem. The cord is cheap and they used the cheapest 12 volt plug in available. But it works. Now for the good stuff. You can get used to how noisey the fan is, but you will end up wondering how you could stand it when you flip the switch off. Part of the problem is that the fan blades or shaft is out of balance. The three position metal switch is nice to see. Right is low, center is off and left is high.I am using this in my 1987 Jayco J-2450 RV and the nice part was that I didn't have to splice any wires. I have a 12 Volt plug in connection for those old twelve volt televisions and it is more than capable of supplying power for the fan. So I ended up mounting the fan near that plug in. It works great for circulating the air during winter weather. The cord is so long that you could mount it on the dash in the cab of a truck and you could use one of the accessory plug ins in the sleeping berth.Durability? I don't think do when the fan and motor connect to the base with only a stamped compression fitting. Though if you don't move the fan often it will probably last longer. But I wouldn't hold my breath if you mount this on construction equipment or go over unimproved roads. All in all, I should have paid more money and bought American.

Powerful and Reliable – Perfect for My Dump Truck!
I absolutely love this heavy-duty fan! It's exactly what my dump truck needed. The fan is incredibly powerful, keeping the cabin cool even during the hottest days. It's built tough, and I can tell it will last for a long time. Perfect for heavy-duty use and has made a huge difference in comfort during long shifts. Highly recommend!
