Ruined sealed concrete
This nonslip rug pad sticks to the floor more than needed, but not at all to the rug I tried to prevent from sliding around. When I pulled up said rug and rug pad, a grid of foam dots remained. After several attempts with different cleaners, brushes and scrapers, the dots remain! It appears to have even etched the floor. If I could give it a negative 5, I would. Extremely disappointed.

Heed my advice.
This pad was initially thought to be a decent product at a good value that held in place extremely well...until approximately a week later when I realized the soft waffle texture had completely adhered to my refinished wood floor. I purchased 2 rug pads, an 8x10 Duo-Lock pad http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0030A4BFW/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and this 5x8 waffly piece of junk. I did not hold it to the same standards I judged the thicker, more expensive rug pad by, yet I was pleased by the way our rug stayed in place with this pad. However, I now think it is in part because the rug pad has a death-grip on my poor floor and the rug is just a pretty mask for its carnage. For this reason, I cannot recommend this product. Spring for the better pad & be happy you don't have perma-PVC waffle foam bits on your own floor.

WILL RUIN YOUR HARDWOOD FLOORS!
DO NOT USE ON REAL WOOD FLOORS!!! I purchased this non-stick mat, because the reviews were pretty good. I found an accent rug for my living room, but I was afraid of ruining my beautiful new ash hardwood floors. The mat has left permanent marks on my floor. They would probably go away if we were to refinish the floors, which is very expensive, and probably will not need to be done for many years. I am very disappointed, and sick to my stomach over this purchase. I have tried various cleaners and polishes, and nothing works. I have attached a picture. It is a bit difficult to see in the picture.

Seriously awful - NOT recommended
Absolutely a terrible product - owned several non-slip pads before and this is the worst quality. The rug moves MORE with this product than before. The pad stretches in all directions, is poorly made and should be pulled OFF of Amazon. I would like to be able to return this, but I'm beyond the 30 day period. Such a shame and waste of time and money.

Holds the rug very well
I used this for a few months and the rug stays nicely in place. I never think twice about it and that's about as perfect a recommendation as I can imagine for a product like this. I had trouble getting it exactly under the rug until I figured out the trick:1. Turn the rug upside down on the floor2. Place the pad on top of the rug3. Tape each corner of the pad to the back of the carpet.Once you do this, you can pick up and move the rug as much as you want without ever having to line up the pad underneath again! It's really easy.

If You Like Smelly Vapors That Burn Your Eyes, Then The Grip-It Ultra Non-Slip Rug Pad Is For You.
This non-slip rug pad probably does the job of keeping an area rug in place pretty well, as the surface feels very "grippy," but we didn't keep it in the house long enough to try it.Upon opening the package it was even thinner than anticipated. I knew it wasn't a thick pad but it was REALLY not a thick pad. I think the use of the word "pad" in the description of this product is exceedingly generous. More importantly, the intense odor from the pad was overpowering. After handling this item for only a couple of minutes, my eyes began to burn. That's not good.I can only imagine the various chemicals off-gassing from this product and lingering in people's homes. Definitely not something I wanted in our home. I promptly packed it back up and returned it to Amazon. If you have children or pets--or anything that is alive in the area where you will use this, you may want to check out some alternatives. Call me crazy, but I would not recommend this item based solely on the nasty chemical smell and burning eyes.

Destroyed our floors
I know for sure this mat didn’t have so many bad reviews when I bought it in 2016, or I wouldn’t have made the purchase. We pulled our rug up and discovered the mat had completely adhered to our hardwood floors. When we pulled it up it left a ton of residue. We have had to scrape it all off by hand, and it’s a 10x12’ space. Even after cleaning the whole floor by hand there is a shadow of a grid across our floor.

Sturdy A+
I saw a DIY that required this non-slip rug pad and I couldn't believe how inexpensive it was. Even though I'm a huge online shopper, I know that there is still some risk when buying online: does it look like it does in the picture? it is made of the same material I have in mind? will it work properly? is it high quality? These are the questions that bombard my mind when I'm trying to find something to buy online instead of purchasing in store.I've seen some of these things in craft stores, but definitely not of the same quality. First of all, they're more expensive in store. Second of all, there's a great selection of sizes on Amazon. I was simply going to cut my pad into whatever size I needed, but lo and behold, I found the perfect length and width and purchased it for $12.99-- that's a great deal. When it arrived, I could immediately see the difference in quality from the ones I had previously seen in stores. This stuff is definitely not going to slip on your tile or laminate floors. My original DIY project was going to be a yarn pom pom one, but I became inspired and realized I could get faux fur and make a faux fur rug. While I haven't actually laid it on the floor yet, and have hardly taken it out of its very nice packaging, I can still feel that this stuff is going anywhere once on the floor. Very thick, rubber, and high quality. If you had any doubts about this product, I say just go for it. It's a great price for something so large (mine was 5x8) and you really can't beat the price for something of this quality.

Used it on my couch. Where have you been all my life???
After spending three years riding my cushions down the couch, pulled slowly towards the TV as though it were a blackhole with the gravitational power to yank every orbiting cushion within 1000 lightyears out of its orbit, I have found salvation! My butt remains firmly in place and I no longer end up with my knees wedged against the coffee table like I'm riding uber economy class on "We Probably Won't Crash Airlines".Look, it's a sticky-ish net I placed under my cushions and for something so simple, it has made me hate my couch much less. We've finally agreed to therapy and are working on regaining each other's trust. I think we just might make it.Don't bother paying more for similar products just because they're marketed as a solution for your couch. This one's cheap and does the same bloody thing. How much more technology can you possibly put in a sticky-ish net?

Not slip proof
My carpets are still making me slide and fly around my house like cirque du soleil.

As advertised - delivered on time.
Really - a review of a piece of foam? OK here goes . . .It looks, feels and works just like non-skid foam rug pad. Even smells like one (I didn't taste it).

Miracle worker
I’ve been really struggling with the new area rub I bought at Christmas. It was moving all over the floor. Someone suggested I try this stuff to put under it. I went search and found this. I wouldn’t have believed it worked if I haven’t experienced it myself. No matter what the carpet does not move. I can vacuum, the kids wrestle, it doesn’t move.

Genuinely Non-Slip! Worked Right Away!
This just arrived today and I've already put it to use and it's working like magic. The previous "non-slip" rug pad was garbage and dangerous. So I did my research this time, and relying on other people's reviews, I took a chance on this one. Right away, it worked. Hubby's happy because he was always afraid of falling since the old pad was very slippery. We're very pleased with this product, so much so that we ordered others in different sizes and will be replacing all of our rug pads with these ones. Thanks to all of the reviews who took the time to write their reviews.
