How many hours of sun is needed to get them charge?

Dear friend, Thanks for your question. The working time of our flame lamp is related to the intensity of sunlight obtained and the charging time. With high sunlight intensity and long charging time, the flame lamp can last until the next day.

Does it need to be completely dark for the light to come on? I have patio string lights that we use at night, so it's not super dark in my back yard.

I believe they would come on if not too bright...I love these...they are very reliable and I use in the pool or on the deck. They come on at low dusk.

How can you anchor the light to stay in one place in the pond?

We recommend that you can tie the bottom of the flame pool lights with a string.

For pool use, do you have to turn them on every night? Or can you turn them on once, and they will light every night after charging during the day?

Dear Joe, Thanks for your question. Yes, you can turn the flame pool lights on once, and they will light every night after charging during the day. Have A Good Day!
