I have 2 very old dachshunds that now must be crated at night. I used to have a house with a doggie door at ground level and my dogs, when younger, would sleep wherever they wanted in the house and use the doggie door during the night as they needed to. My new house does not have ground-level access and they can't use the outsode stairs at their old age = need to crate at night.Dachshunds are notorious for having the tiniest bladders of any mammal on the planet. They pee all night long. Copious amounts of weenie dog pee. I bought this crate pad because it seemed to be soft for their comfort and thick enough to have good absorbency. My previous pad would leak and drip when I removed it from the crate each morning to throw in the washing machine. Pee drip drops everywhere. This pad does NOT leak and drip when I remove it from the kennel. It IS very absorbent.I wash this crate pad daily and sometimes twice a day if I crate them to run errands during the day (I'm retired!!). This is the single most durable crate pad I've ever owned. All the others fall apart quickly at the seams from all the washing wear and tear. This crate pad is a single thick sheet of foam inside a nice soft durable cover. It retains its shape 100% after dozens of washings, unlike crate pads that have stuffing inside. Stuffed crate pads become very lumpy, with multiple areas of 0 stuffing when repeatedly washed. The stuffing moves around, resulting in a really bad pad. This crate pad retains its shape.I highly recommend this pad, even if you don't have pee-factory weenie dogs.

In total I have purchased 5 of these, and I like them so much more than others I have tried. My dogs don’t chew at them like some others we’ve had, and they are easy to clean. Once a week I wash them and hang dry them and they’re still soft & not worn looking or falling apart. They give my dogs a soft spot in their crate without being too thick or obstructing the doors. Definitely recommend as they are a good value for the price and they do their job well.

I purchased this bed to go inside my pups new crate. It fits perfectly! I like how you can use either side (I went with the darker side to hide hair and dirt), the material is great on either side. And the thickness is also great as well. It's not super thick, but also not on the thin side. It took all of 5 seconds for my dog to walk in her crate and nap once I took it out of the package. Since she was a puppy, my dog has chewed up every bed and bedding we've put in her crate. I'm hoping this doesn't jinx it, but she hasn't laid a tooth on it yet. The only thing I would improve on is having a removable cover for washing. Otherwise it's a great bed for a great price.UPDATE:The day after I posted my review, my pup had to go in for a second surgery on her leg. While she rarely ever pees in her bed, she did that night (probably because she was totally drugged). Ugh... great, new bed full of pee. I washed in on the Sanitation setting and am happy to report it washed and dried great. It lost a little of the "new" softness, like when you wash a new blanket, but it's still soft and the stuffing didn't get all weird and lumpy. So I'm sticking with my original review and highly recommend this bed.

I will be traveling this holiday with my dog. The carrier I have needed a new pad. Most were to thin , not soft, and/or wrong size. I have traveled in the in the winter with my 18 pound dog in his carrier. I have learned that the floor of the planes are very cold in the winter. The thin pads of the carrier did not protect my little dog. This pad is thick, and soft, yet is does not take up much more space in the carrier. I will add stick on velcro to the underside it will then stay in place in the carrier. PERFECT. answer , after several hours of my searching !!

A dog bed should be comfortable, portable, and easy to clean. This pet bed delivers on all that and more.Aesthetically this is a nice bed. It looks well-made, has a nice but unobtrusive pattern on one side, and can be set in most rooms and not look out of place. The actual quality seems fairly high. It is reasonably thick and soft, certainly enough that a pet is going to prefer laying on it over the floor. The two different sides also have different covers, one side is smooth and soft, the other is thick and and a bit rougher. Both are pleasant and my dog seems to enjoy both on different occasions.This bed is soft and flexible so it can be rolled up or shoved into a ball in the car and be taken with you. It has been many places with us and the dog and is always easy to bring along. Even the dog can move it, as she regularly grabs it and moves it to different places in the home when she feels like being in a different room. Since she isn't chewing and shaking it like a toy, it also easily stands up to her biting it like this. Note that if you dog does chew and shake it, this bed won't last long, as it is not a toy.Finally, when this bed gets to funky or dirty looking, it can easily be tossed in the wash. I comes out just fine and ready to be used again. After five years it is just starting to look a little worn and thread-bare in places, but it still has plenty of life in it.This is an excellent dog bed. The suggested dog weights for each size seem pretty accurate, it lasts for years, and does its job of being a comfortable pet bed very well. Go ahead and buy it with confidence.

I love this bed... Actually my 70lb dog loves it! He's 8 years old and I've purchased 3 over his life time. All are still in use, though the first is less fluffy. They wash well and I air dry them. They've never lost their shape. Fit perfectly into his kennel and on the living room floor. Can't beat the price either.my biggest worry is that it won't be there when I buy another, lol

A mis perros les han encantado sus nuevas camas. Las empezaron a usar desde que abrí el paquete. Son muy suaves y cómodas.Las tengo hace como 2 semanas.Solamente se las pongo a la hora de dormir, porque son cachorros y muerden todo.Han aguantado los juegos rudos y las arrastradas que les han dado.Aún no se han lavado, pero espero mantengan su forma y textura original.Actualización: A poco más de un mes, mis perros siguen encantados con sus camas. Duermen toda la noche y se les ve muy cómodos. Ya saben que son sus camas y no las muerden. Son muy fáciles de lavar y se pueden echar a la secadora.Actualización 2: A poco más de año y medio, siguen en muy buenas condiciones. Mantienen sus texturas y colores. No se han deformado.
