The SlipX Solutions Pillow Top Plus Safety Bath Mat is made of 100% natural rubber. We produce high-quality, non-slip rubber bath mats in different color and size combinations. We’ve found many of our customers prefer rubber over vinyl because rubber has a tacky feel and secure grip. Rubber also feels heavy duty and absorbs less water, making our rubber bath mats easy to clean and care for. In addition to the physical properties, the rubber material is cost-effective to source, which gives our rubber products an attractive low price. As with any new rubber or vinyl mat, there may be a slight odor that over time will dissipate. The best way to ensure that your brand-new rubber mats don’t smell is to clean them immediately after you purchase them or once they arrive at your home. You can thoroughly wipe down both sides with a pH-neutral cleaner (those that are not pH neutral can damage rubber and ruin your mat). It is okay. I have a very hard bathtub. It helped some. The bath mat is fine for my dog when giving her a bath. What I need is a soft pillow for water. The mat is good. You should check in the medical equipment/supplies area and see what they have and/or suggestions. Hope this helped you.
