My favorite camera bag
Previously my primary camera bag is Lowepro shoulder bag. As I get more and more lenses, I had two problems with the shoulder bag: comfort and capacity. I can put one body (Sony a7II) and three lenses into the bag and my water bottle on the side, but it's heavy. I have to switch shoulder once in a while. Also, there's no place for a jacket even when I carry only one body and one lens. In the past I once had a Tamrac Expedition 7x, but it was uncomfortable for me. Also I found having to take the backpack off my shoulders and place it on the ground before I can get anything out of it is more inconvenient than I would like. I did not keep the Tamrac for these reasons and this experience made me cautious on camera backpacks. At last, I realized I really need a backpack so I started searching. I decided on this backpack because it allows me to access my camera using the Flipside design and it has a compartment for non-camera stuff. To me this is the perfect hybrid between Flipside and Photo Hatchback. I also like its look. I went on a three-day trip with this bag and I love it! There's why.- It holds basically everything I need. I went on the trip with one Sony a7II and four lenses (including two small primes, no huge zooms like 70-2000) in the lower compartment and clothes, chargers and miscellaneous in the upper compartment. I also have my water bottle and umbrella in one stretch-mesh pouch on the side and my tripod on the other side. There are also belts on the front side to hold more stuff if needed.- The Flipside design. I find it very convenient. It's of course not as fast as opening a shoulder bag, but it's close enough for me. Just buckle up and swing. In a few seconds I can get my camera out or change lens. The backpack also acts as a lens changing table when there's no such surface around. It also keeps my camera and lenses very safe. No one will be able to steal them when the backpack is on my shoulders.- Comfort. I walk around this backpack and my stuff all day and I don't feel any pain on my shoulders or neck.- Build quality. The backpack is well made. The fabric is water-resistant (though the zippers are not) and water beads up on it. In light rain I am confident without the AW rain cover. All the adjustable straps also come with stretchable rings to hold the loose end in place.Of course, it's not perfect. It has a few things that I wish would be improved, but none is a major issue.- The zippers are not waterproof. It's not really a problem with the front ones since it comes with AW cover. But the main camera compartment zipper is not. In very heavy rain, it's possible that rain water will flow down along my back and get to the camera compartment. I am ok with this since I probably won't be outdoors in such heavy rain, but I wish I can have that confidence.- It has a small bottom and tends to fall over. I wish it would stand steadily when I put it with its bottom on the ground. I need to find a wall or something for it to lean on.- The handle is thin. It looks sturdy enough that I won't worry about it breaking apart, but it's not padded like Flipside 400 AW II.- It does not hold a laptop. There's a pocket for an iPad. Maybe a 12 inch Macbook can fit in, but it's in the front which makes carrying the weight less comfortable and also less secure. To sum up, I love this backpack. I think it will replace my shoulder bag for most occasions. I would totally recommend it for travelling and walking around the city.

Perfect for day trips, international travel
While I already have several camera bags for specific purposes, I purchased the Flipside Trek 350 specifically for day hikes and long-haul international travel. A lot of analysis went into this process: I wanted a bag that could fit my Canon 80D, 2-3 prime/zoom lenses, a lightweight tripod, and small camera accessories...still have room for snacks/sandwich, sweater and a few random items...be weather-resistant...comfortable to carry for hours...relatively compact/not bulky...and keep my camera safe from "sticky fingers" while navigating dense tourist traps. I'm happy to report that the bag achieves all of those needs. What I liked:- Neutral color vs. extremely bright colors like other bags in the market- Comfortable shoulder straps (I was able to attach the Peak Design Capture Clip to one of the straps so I could clip on my camera in between shots without putting camera back into the bag)- Even though it seems big, it actually has a very sleek and slim profile...was able to slide it under airline seats on both domestic and international travel- Even after loading it up it's actually comfortable to carry- Camera compartment can only be accessed through the back panel so a good theft-deterrent- Spacious compartments, lots of divider panels to customize your configuration, external straps for holding sweatersWhat I didn't like:- Tablet pocket is too small...it assumes you will put an iPad with no protective gear (who does that when you're trekking?); with my shell and keyboard combo it was too large- The side panels were too small/tight to fit a 32oz Nalgene bottle (at least without fear of over stretching the material)- The whole idea of taking out stuff by rotating the back to your front while the waistbelt still attached - they made it look easier in the video than it actually is! Depending on your clothing and body size, it won't be as seamless.Overall, the positives significantly outweigh the negatives. Really really love it and will continue to use!

Well organized - wish I could have kept it
This brand has quite a good name and reputation. Was looking to replace an old canvas backpack that looked great, but basically had all the camera compartments on the bottom, which made it feel off-center when wearing for extended times and had you digging through everything else just to get to a lens.Enter this backpack, with the camera compartment accessible from the side, and sitting along your back, instead of flat on the bottom. It was much more comfortable to wear, and gear was easily to use. Good layout for the compartments, including space where you can put your belongings that are not in the way of camera access.I would loved to have kept it, but for two things:1) I have an 11” iPad Pro that will be my travel companion. They REALLY WEREN’T KIDDING with a tablet size of 10”. The tablet pocket is along the outside, and tapers just a bit. Enough that and 11” model wouldn’t slide all the way in.2) It’s hard to tell from the pictures, but this backpack has a belt - in addition to the shoulder straps. It’s rather substantial, and well constructed. In other words, for someone who uses this (mostly) as a day pack, there’s no way to wear this without either using the belt, or carrying it with the belt unclipped at your sides. It isn’t possible to have the belt not worn, and out of the way. This feature is what tipped me to return. My plan for use is mostly a camera carrying backpack that is only on the back for a short while at any one time.If you know what you’re getting, and want those features, I would highly recommend this backpack. It’s a great value for the level of protection and layout.

Close to perfect
I own the smaller version, the 250. It just didn't do a great job because of the size. I'm always limited. So I bought the 350.I can have my 70-200mm lens on my camera this time around.I can have my first aid pack, camera and some bicycle tubes and it all fits.If I use the rain cover, I don't need to take it off to access my camera.I just love this configuration. The straps are comfortable.

Excelente calidad

High quality bag, that fits the Canon 5D DSLR with lenses….
Bought the 250 version, and wasn’t sure if it fitted my needs, maybe too small for a Canon DSLR. I can report it fits the Canon 5D mark one and two quite comfortably, but your mileage may vary…. I primarily use older vintage lenses adapted to the Canon EF mount. These are often much smaller to auto focus modern equivalents. I have no idea how another reviewer was not able to make a Fuji XT5 fit! Having owned that body type, it’s smaller than the Canon DSLRs! Anyway…..Photo one shows the Canon 5D with an Olympus OM Zuiko 50mm f1.4 mounted, the Olympus OM Zuiko 28mm f3.5 in one of the slots, and a Cosina 135mm f2.8 on M42 mount in the larger slot, with strap underneath…. Extra spaces are filled with batteries, CF card reader etc.Photo two shows the Canon 5D mark two with the Canon 50mm f1.4 USM lens mounted, a Yongyou 35mm f2 in the slot underneath the camera… the lens to the left is the same as above. Batteries moved to an internal pocket. The bag is very well made, offering good options for flexible storage. If you packed the Canon 5D without a lens attached, I’m sure the storage may be more flexible. When packed full, the straps while comfortable, are not super padded, and the lack of arched support in the back area means you will feel it against your back when under full load. That said, it really is designed as a light day pack and in all likelihood you would pack lighter.
