KBR-016R BR-2 Dome Oven with Captive Heat Technology (CHT) - Saves space, time, energy and is easy-to-use; Red

This is a preliminary report as I have used it only once. So far impressed with the ease of use and results. Cooked a tri-tip with green beans in it, the beef was juicy, well cooked ( browned outside, warm pink inside) and the beans were seasoned with the juices. Suggest you turn the meat over if you cook a tri-tip. Easy to clean as well. The dome does get very hot, make sure to read and follow the very clear directions and warn children to treat it as they would a stovetop. Would be ideal for an efficiency apartment without a formal oven but useful in any kitchen. Can't wait to cook my Christmas turkey in it.

This dome oven is awesome! I have made 5 Turkeys in it so far and they all have come out perfect. The juice it produces makes a large amount of gravy and the flavor is yummy! I am so excited to cook more food in it like cakes, pork roasts, fish and what ever else I can think of to make. It's like having an extra oven that takes up less space as it fits on your counter. It is an amazing product and I am so happy I bought one.

Based on the 5 star reviews written here, I purchased Karrsen BR2 with high hopes. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. This may be a great item for some, but not for me. Starting things off on the wrong foot was the packaging of the item which was sloppy at best. The rack came bent and there were visible chips in the powdercoat. In addition, the base wobbled due to one of three rubber feet being jammed up into the leg of the base, which I managed to pull out to stabilize it. Still, I wanted to give the item a chance and felt a little bend in the rack was probably trivial. I attempted to bake a small 12" frozen pizza in it, and as instructions suggest, I placed the pizza on a flat pizza pan. Both the rack and the pan slid about the base of the dome making it difficult to place the lid back on without the pizza sliding off the rack and nearly onto the floor. Add to that, there are no grips on the bottoms of the lid cooling racks, so the hot dome slides off of those easily as well. You cannot see into the dome to check your food without having to lift it, but the unstable racks make this a cumbersome task, especially while minding the electric cord in the back. The dome top gets quite hot, so it is best to use this item on an open surface clear of any cabinet overhangs. A kitchen island where a 360 degree view of the cooker would be ideal because due to the items size, it is difficult to see the cord and I had concerns about it curling toward the hot dome, making it an electric hazard. For all these reasons I simply could not enjoy this item. It's being sent back.

It doesn't save any time on cooking your turkey. It does make it moister and it saves time on cleanup. There is practically no cleanup what so ever. I would have rated it higher if it cooked the turkey faster like it says it does.

Totally love how it Cooks! However mine was missing one handle and screws.

I rarely write reviews, but I highly recommend this product and wanted to share my experience with others. I used my BR-2 dome oven to cook a turkey breast. It cooked in much less time than my stove oven. It came out evenly browned and the meat was very moist & tender.As a plus, it was easy clean up, too!

First roast chicken was the best chicken ever and I don't even like chicken- next one not quite as good think I should've paid more attention to minutes per pound- was perhaps in a few minutes too long- it gets 10 stars for juice/drippings! It is big but way better than big oven especially in summer and portable enough to set up anywhere there's electricity

I love my Dome oven. I ordered the stainless steel oven and it matched my other appliances perfectly. It is just beautiful. I cooked a roasting hen and a ham. Both turned out wonderfully. They were moist and tender and browned perfectly. If you like to make your gravy from the pan drippings, you will have plenty to use. I highly recommend this oven.
