BARIELLEANTI FUNGAL NAIL LOTION Fungus Rx, 1% Tolnaftate Solution, Antifungal For Nails, Fungicide for Toenail and Fingernails and Cuticles, Fungus Treatment and Prevention

I have purchased and used Barielle twice on two different big toenails. Both fungi contracted after visits to a nail salon. One a named, hi-priced salon, and at one that charged $28 and where they don't speak English. I have used it after I have tried numerous other more expensive products, even an Rx my dermatologist prescribed, as well as recommended home remedies. Only Barielle has got rid of the fungus completely. You cut the nail down as far as you can, lower than normal, and apply Barielle twice a day. I squeeze a little out at the worst spot and spread it over the whole nail with a q-tip. Once a week I scrape the debris out and cut or file the nail down a bit more. It takes as long as it takes for the nail to grow out but it works. There is a new TV ad for a toenail fungus that says it works even over nail polish. There is an Rx that says it does that but it cost around $2,000 so I don't think a $40 OTC product will work. BTW I do have very thick toenails so it possible Barielle is the only one that works for that situation, but why waste money on something where you have to wait several month to see the fungus gone rather than a sure thing.

Nail fungus is tough to get rid of. Even my podiatrist says you may never totally eliminate it. This product works at least as well as the treatment I got from my podiatrist that costs $50+ for the same amount. I found that cleaning under the nail, trimming the discolored nail as much as possible and using fine sandpaper on the affected area on top of the nail before treatment helps a lot. This removes more fungus and discolored nail and allows the meds to contact the fungus beneath the top surface. Then I apply the treatment making sure I get it under the nail's edge, on the cuticle and around the afflicted area. I take the additional step of then covering my toe with a finger cot to keep the meds from rubbing off on my socks. This regimen has gotten rid of most of the ugly discoloration. But you have to be patient, because as I said, nail fungus is difficult to eliminate or control.

I had a decades-long issue with something white and funky that appeared under my big toe after an injury. It was tested by an MD and the result was ‘not fungal’ but it looked and acted that way. Many antifungal treatments helped some, but this has been the best for me! After all this time, my nail will soon be back to normal. I think it’s important to get this both on, around and UNDER your nail. I would drop some on top of my nail and spread around with a cotton swab. The liquid quality of this is the only negative; a gel would be easier to use. Other tactics: shake the bottle before you use. Don’t touch tip of bottle with infected toe- you don’t want to get fungus on that, and continue to infect yourself. For the same reason, trim the affected nail often as it grows to get rid of infection and use a new nail trimmer each time ( I got them 2/$1 @ a $ store) and toss the clipper after each use. I treated multiple times a day/trim every 5 days or so- my issue is close to resolved in 6 weeks. Happy, and just in time for summer sandals.

Takes a long time to work, but applying twice a day as directed. Newest bottle seems different consistency than others I bought. Dries slowly, so we leave our feet uncovered until it does. Do not see improvement in appearance of nails, but has reduced amountvof nail fungus for me , not so much for my husband.

listen, this stuff works for me. its the only thing that helps with my toenails when they are brittle or being attacked by whatever fungus etc that seems to be lurking at all these nail salons of late. I keep a bottle at home and use a little every other day or so to restore my nails to clear, strong nd beautiful. My mom also suffered from nail fungus once and this was the only thing that helped to cure it. You have to use it consistently to see results but it works
