Pay no mind to bad reviews
I love this thing. I work at a different house each day and this kettle helps me make it through the day. I eat noodles for lunch and have multiple cups of tea each day. It runs like a champ, just be smarter then the material and you won't burn yourself. It's collapsible, so watch out for that when it's heated. The plastic gets really soft so handle with care. Don't go trying to sue them because you got burnt up.If it's burnt out soon, you probably use it too much or you got a faulty unit. It's portable, not stationary. It's built to be used moderately. I'm more surprised mine is still going.I probably use it 6-8 times in about a ten hour period. It heats up pretty quickly, I just haven't timed it.What I don't like is that if you forget about it, it'll keep restarting until you stop it.

Perfect for a cruisse.
I am a travel agent and take several cruises a year. I also am a coffee freak who needs that cup of JAVA first thing in the AM when I wake up. Usually I have to wait for a coffee delivery from room service on a cruise. But now I just use this and instant coffee. I had no problem bringing it on board (unlike my steamer which is not allowed.). This kettle collapses small enough to fit conveniently in any suitcase without taking up a lot of room. It also is lightweight so there is not worry about adding extra weight when there are airline weight restrictions.

Hazardous at best.
Well, it seemed like a great idea to have a collapsible kettle, but this thing is not it. One problem is that it doesn’t hold its shape and collapses under the weight of the water. This is dangerous if you’re dealing with scalding hot water, so pour with extreme caution. But that’s not the biggest issue. This thing almost burned down my Airbnb. It worked about 10 times, and on the 11th, the whole thing short circuited and melted, causing us to have to air out black smoke for hours. Definitely not safe. It’s back to my steel kettle. It’ll take up a fewh more inches in the bag, but at least, I know it’s not a safety hazard.

Great so far
I bought it for my office because it is easy to put away. I've used it several times and the water heats quickly (and quietly). After I finish with it, I rinse it out, fold it down and put it in my cabinet. It qorks wonderfully and does what I need.

Very handy to have when we travel
We use this to heat water for tea, hot chocolate and hot cereal when we travel. It does the job. Heats up quickly. I love that it collapses easily for storage.

Watch out for Burns
The Kettle heats water to a very high temperature which is great. After heating if you go to the edge of the handle when picking it up, it can burn your hand and in extreme cases can shock you in to spilling the hot water on yourself. The pick up handle gets very hot and needs to be handled cautiously.

Easy to pack
I travel a lot and now I can't go on a trip without it. It's easy and collapses for travel. Sometimes it is hard to tell when the water has boiled. It doesn't go into a big rolling boil like an electric kettle but does the trick. I hate microwaving water when I travel and now I don't have to :)

Works like a charm
The kettle is very quick and shuts off automatically. However as the kettle cools it heats up again automatically. Folds down easily. I have only tried it on 110 volts but I love it.

Great for saving money while travelling
The size is perfect for travelling. I use my kettle in hotels when I don't want to pay for expensive breakfasts. I bring instant oatmeals and it's great. It was a little tricky to collapse it the first time, but figured it out.
