I used the packaged ones you can get at sporting goods stores and I used casings that I got from a grocery store. The grocery store casings were better but when I used these well they were so much better. Got nice and soft, went on easily and made sausage making so much easier. They all worked more or less once you got them on the tube but these went on much more easily and the ones that come from a sporting goods store in a bag well they do not work well and they do not look right. They are also tougher. I think that most others advice is that these are the best you can get so I think it is worth spending a bit more for these but the results are much better and you will be done faster than ever before. They go on easier and they do not puncture as easily either.

If you buy the larger package, the casings are longer and easier to separate.

Purchased 3 boxes of these to make sausage i tried to get the casing on the stuffing tube but it was too small. I have used 32-35 casings for many years and never had any problems now I have 3 boxes that I can't use.
