Q: I want to buy this buggy but would buy an extra battery, what size battery would I get

It uses two batteries. Razor part # W15130412003 for both.

Q: can you adjust the throttle?

Yes, the throttle is adjustable. Just use the Alan wrench that's included with the instruction booklet. You can loosen it up from underneath, raise it up some & retighten.

Q: Is the throttle lever adjustable? The ad says it is, but the panphlet said nothing about it.

Kelley, the throttle is like what i have experienced on 4 wheelers. Hand control, the more you depress the lever with your thumb the faster you go. Hand brake left hand. As far as i have looked you can't adjust/govern maximum speed without an added device. But it doesn't go crazy fast anyway.
