A "splitter" that isn't a splitter, just a useless, redundant piece of hardware
Partially my fault for not reading carefully enough, but this "splitter" will not allow for two connections to work simultaneously. I was not even aware such things existed; else I would have been more careful ordering. What's the point of a "splitter" that does not allow two devices to work at the same time?? If you have to plug one thing in and unplug another so the first thing works, it defeats the entire purpose of a junction that is supposed to route the network connection two ways. It absolutely makes zero sense. It doesn't even save a user a physical trip to unplug a device located somewhere else because if you have the end of the ethernet cable accessible to plug it into the splitter, then you can just as easily plug it into the router!! lmaoThis device is completely useless.

Arrived in great shape
I bought the wrong thing and had to send this back. It came in quick and looked pristine.

A Cost-effective Solution to Double Your Ethernet Cabling
This is a simple ethernet "doubler" that does the job well. No USB port in the device, but that's not necessary for many applications. But be careful; using this kind of device may not be compatible for your application.

Severally cut bandwidth.
Have an apartment that uses a router to a wifi box, but the apartment has 3 ethernet ports, one in each room. The router only has two ports for the internet connection, so I have to constantly switch out one of the cables for the third one if I want to hardline connect to the internet. I was hoping that this would provide a nice alternative. Since I don't use two of the connections at the same time, I was hoping this wouldn't be an issue, but once I ran a speed test, it cut the speed to a tenth of what it formally was.

Splitter not working for my phone modem
I had to replace my Wi-Fi router; the new one only had 2 ports at the base; I needed a 3rd one to plug in my phone modem so I bought this splitter. As soon as I received it, I plugged it into the router. I took for granted that everything would be fine; I did not test or check the phone for connection; I really don’t use my phone but I like having a land line so I do not have to give my cell number to everyone. Weeks later, I finally looked at my cordless phone, the display read, ‘no line’. I told myself I need to check that out when I have a chance; just recently did. I plugged, unplugged and switched cables and power cords; the phone still reads ‘no line’. I am not certain if the splitter I received is defective or I can’t plug in a phone which doesn’t seem right. I am hoping to get a response from the manufacturer or supplier with this review. Otherwise I will just return it for a refund. The packing pouch that the splitter came in states the warranty and the free user support but doesn’t list any contact information. Help.
