I originally had given this a lower rating because after a few weeks/month, one of the channels failed, so I was hearing just from my right headset. I reached out to the elgato team and I must say I was thoroughly impressed with their customer service, and how quick they were to remedy the situation. Without hesitation they offered a solution that was quick and reasonable. Before the left channel failed me, it worked seamlessly! Plug and play ready and had fixed my streaming challenges. And the audio was crisp and clear! The pro version is supposed to be sturdier but with sensitive cables, things can get damaged. I received my replacement within 5-7 business days. This company was the best in treating their customers! I will continue to buy from Elgato.

My original Chat Link cable started to wear out and even had some exposed wires after more than 2 years of use, so I decided it was time to bite the bullet and just get a new one. I wasn't aware the pro version was even a thing but when i saw it had a ground loop isolator, I knew I had to give it a try. I've had an annoying buzzing sound whenever I streamed or recorded on my PS5 because I have to play wired, and I tried fixing it with different filters on OBS but it always ruined the audio. I then bought a separate ground loop isolator, but it always made my game audio really low so i would have to increase the gain but then that would make some feedback audible. I bought the pro cable, and all of my problems were instantly fixed. There is still a very, very, small buzzing sound but nowhere near what it was before, plus I don't have to increase the gain on my gameplay to make it audible! This cable also fixed an issue on my Xbox where the center channel audio wasn't being picked up so cutscenes were impossible to hear. I'm so happy right now I had to tell someone!

Ok so disclaimer I am not using this product as instructed or what it is purposed for but it still works... well, kinda. So basically I am using this to link audio from my Xbox One and laptop pc to one pair of headphones so that I can simultaneously talk on discord with my friends and game. I am only doing this until I can afford a proper mixing console so this is a pretty good temporary fix and I do recommend it as a cheap solution. That being said, for anyone looking to do something similar, when the ground loop isolator is turned on, the sound coming from the pc on the stereo end of the link is both extremely reduced in volume as well as a bit distorted at times. Even running it through my DAC/amp the sound is still a bit shotty, but if you are not currently in a game and are just listening to music or on your computer, turning the isolator off eliminates all of that. The isolator does wonders to get rid of the ground loop buzzing sound coming from a pluged-in/charging controller. I'm sure that using this product as intended results in a much better experience as there is no other audio signal coming into the product from a capture cart, but like I said it is a cheap temporary solution for anyone wanting to get audio from two sources on one set of headphones. Just know that the lack of a 4-pole 3.5 mm tip on the part that goes into the pc means that if you have a headset it will not carry the mic signal into your pc.

The little on off switch on the chat link works great. Recorded a game with it off and all you could hear was that electric static sound, turn it on and boom no bad sounds, the cable length is perfect for my st up and the chat sound quality is pretty good. Took me a bit to figure out how to get everything all plugged in and working properly but now that it's all together everything is great!

Second time buying this product and keeps getting a shortage I only had it for a month. Please fix this problem, now it doesn't work at all, bad wiring or something because this keeps happening, more money spent. Worst thing is it cuts in and out with static noise.

Tuve una muy mala experiencia, después de ver que solo fue pura propaganda, el cable se dañó a los 3 días que lo compré, se dañó el sonido del micrófono hacia mis amigos, se escuchaba como tierra o cortocircuito, analicé el cable y el daño estaba en la unión de los 3 cables en el triángulo que presenta la imagen. Pdst: el Cable es caro y terminé perdiendo mi dinero. No lo recomiendo.

I was having doubt if I should buy this in order to stream on my ps5 to pair up well with my laptop for streaming. It took me 3-4hrs to set up by figuring it out how this wire work. It was totally worth it. Now, I can listen to party chat & while doing commentary live stream at the same time. Luckily, I have the right headphone like with the wired Logitech headset with the microphone on it. I had my Shure mv7 plug in to the laptop. I had the wire plug to my laptop, controller & headphone for this set. For some reason, I cannot hear the audio when I plug into the elgato. It work when I plug to my laptop. I have to set my ps5 setting Audio to HDMI Device(AV amplifier). It doesn't work well with streamlab from my testing. I have to switch to OBS software in order to work. In the end, it is a good additional plug in to save me from headache for not able to party chat while streaming.
