I love using colored pencils and blending with Gamsol. It is a great alternative to more expensive media such as alcohol markers. The Marco Raffine brand is a high quality pencil that blends beautifully. They are reasonably priced and have a wonderful selection of colors. I highly recommend this company!

I LOVE these pencils!! Somewhere along the line I happened to get a couple of these pencils. They were my favorite and through the years I have managed to use them up, all the way to where I could no longer sharpen them. I wrote their name down and have looked for them for about 6 months or so with no success. Then the lightbulb came on and I checked Amazon. There they were to my delight! I ordered them and waited for what seemed like forever and was only 2 days. I tore into the box of items that I had ordered until I found my pencils. You would have thought I was a kid on Christmas morning! I went and started coloring and left everything sit the rest of the day. If you are looking to buy replacement pencils or are a first time pencil buyer, I highly recommend purchasing these. The colors are rich and vibrant. The leads are soft and don't need much sharpening. The colors blend easily when you want them to, but don't bleed. These are, by far, the most awesome colored pencils I have ever used and I will continue to use them as long as I continue to color. Their greatness is beyond what words can describe.

Lovely pencils are easy to hold and lay down very smooth. The finish has a beautiful sheen that looks nice and give your coloring a professional touch. The dark colors are especially blendable. I have included photos of some of the pictures I completed using only these pencils (except the background on the mermaid wreath, it was done in soft pastel). These are the only oil pencils I have worked with, and they quickly have become my go to travel set. Other pencils I've tried include Black Widows, Inktense, Castle Arts and Prismacolor, but I keep coming back to these.

Not the worst wax pencil I've used. A little light on the pigment load and wax content. These pencils make a decent student grade colored pencil.

I color a lot. And I mean a lot. These are an amazing value. Great colors and go down nicely. Easy to hold and sharpen well. No issues at all. They are amazing pencils and vivid colors.

I’d say these compare nicely with Prismacolors but are a much better price. I bought them a few years ago and we’ve worn them down so much that I just bought another set. Excellent quality. I appreciate the price point so I can place good quality art supplies before my children, and they can definitely tell a big difference between these and cheep Crayola pencils.

These pencils are fantastic for layering and a great watercolor pencil for kids or students who want to learn this art method. They can be used as regular pencils or activated with water or solvents. This was a repurchase. If you use them lightly they dissolve well and activate. If you you a lot of pigment they can be layers thicker for a regular pencil quality and they layer beautifully.For the money spent I would say these are the best pencils on the market at this price range and they are closely comparable to some professional pencils at a higher price range.

I love these pencils for coloring because they give you a great color selection and the price is good. My only problem with them is when sharpening them.... They tend to 'break the tip'.... Still.... They are about the best i have found.
