London Underground Surprise
If anyone has any doubts this train set is ideal for any child over 3 years and with the help of an adult would be an easy set up.For the adult collector to buy a London Tube they are selling anything over £400+I have decided to add an underground line to my OO gaugeThe motor engine may look like a toy but I’m thinking about putting some realism into itThe tracks may be plastic but with a dab of grime paint will make it look more realistic and as there are plenty of cardboard pieces I have used the platform plus additional items to start making a stationThe motor car is powered by 2 AAA batteries with control on the roof and has a fast or slow speedsCoupled with ample track and points enhance the ability to build up trackIt is near same gauge as an OO gauge trackFor the young they will love it as a layout for others with a little imagination and creativity it will add to a layoutI hope this helps

Such a waste and disappointment...
Firstly, I had to pay attention more to the reviews and not to waste my money . Impossible to assemble the tracks ,they wouldn't fit in each other, train falling off them, the cardboard's tunnel holes- wrongly cut, so impossible to use it .

Fantastic little train set
My 5 year old was very impressed with this train set (as was my husband)… the cardboard station and tunnel were a bit fiddly to build but look great once put together . The train is great and looks pretty realistic, top marks for noise box/announcements which really add to the fun.

Disappointed
I've been looking for a working train set based on the London Underground for quite some time. My 7 year old son is fascinated by the London Underground. This, to the best of my knowledge, is the only thing currently available to buy. It's just about ok for the money. It's cheap and the most disappointing thing is the cardboard station and platform. It was very difficult to put together, the instructions were vague and I cannot see it lasting very long. The electronic announcements are good and sound very realistic but are limited to just 4 different announcements which again is disappointing. The train runs quite well on the track, but make sure you have put the track together properly or the train will keep coming off. There's not much margin for error and you really need to run your fingers over the track joints to make sure it is all level.Would I buy this again? Maybe, but only because there is nothing else out there like it.

You need a custom table
The media could not be loaded. This product was a xmas present for my son. I knew if I didn't have the track and other objects glued down it wouldn't last a day. Previous train sets he has never lasted as stuff goes missing and gets broken. I made a table for the set. I ordered sheets of 18mm laminated board from my DIY. 2 large gable ends, 2 side trims and one base. I them the measurements and they cut them up. I got some brackets and secured it all myself. €80 for the wood. The track I glued down with a hot glue 🔫. The measurements were tight for the table and i was lucky the train actually fitted. I had to re configure the tunnel and the station stop. The signs I just cut ✂️ from the box it came in. The train is good and works fine. There is no way this set would last if it wasn't glued down.

Overpriced and flimsy but my son loves it
Based on previous reviews, I had low expectations but purchased anyway as this was the only option on Amazon. Fairly easy to assemble, made sure to reinforce the flimsy cardboard with plenty of tape. Tracks fit togther nicely and the carriages mostly stay on the track. The carriages look cheap but work; there's also a light on the front carriage. My 4 year old son is obsessed with London Underground and absolutely loves this set. He would have liked more announcement options and for them to be more clear.
