We are extremely grateful for this excellent product. It made the “impossible” possible. We are a military family in the middle of a permanent change of station. With this car top carrier, we packed up our household goods and sent them on a truck to be delivered at our new duty station. Then we loaded our Kia Sorento and traveled from Oklahoma to Utah to pick up our college daughter from her freshman year at school. Inside the Rhino BagMate alone, we fit 1 Checked-bag-sized suitcase, 1 carry-on-sized suitcase, 2 XL duffel bags, 3 regular-sized duffel bags, 1 large overnight bag, 6 winter coats and 2 backpacks.In the Kia itself we then were able to fit a 🐶Saint Bernard with his giant e-collar and huge food bin, 3 teenagers, 2 adults, 5 additional personal bags/backpacks, & 4 pillows.We went from Utah to Arizona to visit Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. Then we drove to our new station in Florida. WITH all the stuff listed above including the dog. Military life. Crazy. It was a bit of a pain to do that extra step at night after a long day of travel, but we managed ok.Don’t hesitate to purchase! One thing we were hesitant about was detaching the rubber seal on the door to get the loop attached, but once we committed to it we didn’t have a problem. If we can figure out how to use it and drive that far without a problem, most people can! We’re not super experienced with gear like this but we figured it out.This BagMate made our trip possible!

Drove 4 hours one way with no issues. First time using any type of storage on my roof (also has a sunroof). I was worried about driving with something on my roof no attached to a roof rack, but this was very sturdy. It did rain on our trip and there were no leaks, just make sure you flip the fabric over the zipper. It had lots of storage and allowed us plenty of room in our SUV for other items. The excess on the straps were easy to tie down because they have Velcro on them. So you just roll it the excess and secure to the tight strap. It was easy and effective. Very happy and very impressed!

I purchased this product last Summer and we were very happy with it. The bag is durable and felt very secure on the roof of my 4Runner. It holds quite a bit and it helps ease my mind that our gear won't get wet if we encounter rain on long road trips. Well, after the summer season I packed it away and stored the bag in my garage. Unfortunately, the bag fell victim to a mouse and was damaged beyond repair. I reached out to the company and they were amazingly helpful. They responded quickly, understood the issue, and shipped a replacement to me at no charge. I was honestly shocked that they were so understanding. It's rare to find solid customer service these days. I highly recommend this product! We plan to keep it in a big cooler in our garage to prevent another mouse making a meal of it.

Took this on vacation because I knew we'd have more passengers and I'd need the cargo space. Fairly easy to set up and secure. Seems sturdy and while I didn't have to test its weather-tightness it should keep the rain out. Did not include any kind of lock for the zippers - not that this would stop anyone but it could deter a casual snatcher. Works better with hard-side luggage as softer items tend to get crushed by the straps when you cinch them down. This also leave a lot of excess strap that has to be secured which is kind of a pain. Not really a problem this type of product can solve though. Including grease for the zippers is a nice touch. If you're buying, here are some tips:* If you drive at night, the front of this thing will be covered in bug goo. Be sure and wipe it all off before storing.* Using a roof bag will impact your gas mileage. I was able to directly compare and it was about 4 MPG less with the bag in place.* Yes, it will make all kinds of noises.* Check it when you gas up to make sure everything is still tight, because depending upon how good you pack and what items you're packing, things may settle and loosen the straps a bit.

This thing is amazing! I used it to move across country and it held up through heavy winds, rains and a snowstorm. Kept all my belongings secure and dry. It also saved me a ton of money because I didn’t need to have a rack or any other gadgets installed on my car, it’s very roomy and easy to install. The fabric is definitely weather proof and the ropes are super sturdy, the clips held the bag down very securely. The bag did shift a bit after a couple of days of driving but after a little more tightening of the straps, it did not move. This is one of the best items I’ve ever invested in

Preformed perfectly, good quality material, zips easily, definitely waterproof, fits a lot of items! Traveled about 2K miles, including heavy rain. It stayed in place, even at 80 MPH. Easy to install on our car with no roof rack. You can definitely expect less gas mileage, but worth it if you need the room. Oh, and it even fit in the provided storage bag! Definitely worth buying.
