Not that strong… I do not appreciate the misleading advertising of 1080 lbs of pull force. lol ha ha joke was on me.

I got it and haven't had a chance to use it yet cause of the river being so high . But looking forward to giving it a go when it goes down. I opened the box and layed it on my steel table and almost didn't get it off. Very strong and do believe that it will get whatever is down there . Soon to find out

This magnet is not bad but not all good as far as the whole package…Pros:It’s pretty damn strong, be careful not to let it contact unwanted metal especially if it’s a flat surface. You won’t be pulling the magnet off without using a tool, I had to slip the handle of some channel locks through the eye bolt and pry it off the metal deck of the tugboat I work on. With that said, if this thing comes in contact with something like a steel beam on the bottom of the river you may be buying a new magnet. You could probably tie a rope to a trailer hitch and place the magnet onto a mailbox and cause it to flip onto its sideCons:The rope….sucks, it’s too thin, kinks up very easily and next thing you know, it’s a nightmare. Get a thicker rope.Do away with the stainless carabiner, it just keeps getting stuck on the magnet. I removed mine and just ran the line through eyebolt and tied a bowline knot.All in all it’s cool

I have magnets that are smaller and much stronger. Really expected this to be stronger given its description.Otherwise, if a light weight magnet is what you're looking for, this could be the one.

I was able to retrieve an 18 foot piece of 2” pipe with it.

May I please return this? This is no where near its claimed 650lb weight on 1 side attached to 3" thick steel. I was not able to use it in time (covid) to watch it fail and return it. The cute clip would obviously break if the magnet could grab any real weight. I will upload a video as soon as I can.

It's not as powerful as I thought but for a kid to play is good and I was also very cheap

I didn't read the description properly. This magnet is double sided and 225lbs per side i thougt it was 450lbs on 1 side. Its super strong as long as you have thick metal for 100% of the magnet to stick to. The thicker the metal the stronger the pull.Example: Stick to an ibeam and it'll give you 225lbs of pull. Stick it to your fridge and it will come off easy..UPDATE:: The magnet comes in at 170lbs before releasing. A little shy of the advertised 225.It was attached to a metal ibeam

Haven’t used yet but seems very high quality and is extremely strong and quite shocking…. I’ll be using it to fish out a steel pipe from my diesel slip tank in the box of my truck that has been rolling around for awhile but I’m very convinced I bought the right tool for the job

The media could not be loaded. It says there is 450lbs pull force but we are lucky if we are getting 45lbs.
