A lot of reviews had said that this backpack was to small to hold a folder. Not true. I was very worried about purchasing this due to the mixed reviews but decided to because the added feature of the chest strap was a hit for me. I'm so glad I purchased this for my 3 year old son for preschool! He absolutely loves his dinosaur backpack and it fits him perfectly. The other one I had got for him hit the back of his knees and this is positioned nicely on his back. Also the padded shoulder straps are awesome too! As far as the material and stitching it seems of good quality. I tried out the zippers because that was another negative about the reviews. I was a little rough to see if they could hold up to some abuse and they did. I can fit my sons two communication folders, a 3 ring notebook, his huge lunch box, and his pencil case with room still left over for an extra change of clothes. The side pockets can hold a regular water bottle fine. My kids always lose the reusable ones so I just buy the junior water bottles. Only thing I was not able to test out was the handle on top of the backpack for carrying. Will post another review if it doesn't hold up but I'm happy with my purchase and highly recommend for a preschooler or a student in kindergarten.

Ordered the small backpack originally and a folder does fit, but barely. You almost have to fold the corners to get it in there. I ended up ordering the large instead and will be returning the small. As you can see, the large is MUCH larger and fits the folder great. I can also fit a few notebooks and all of my sons school supplies. I will say the large backpack is about the size of a standard backpack, maybe a bit smaller. The cup holders on the sides should have no problem holding a standard disposable water bottle but nothing more than that. The smaller backpack actually has elastic cup holders on the sides which are a bit better for supporting different sized bottles. In this case, I prefer the usability of the main compartment of the backpack over the usability of the side cup holders so I will stick with the large.

quality little backpack. the fabric feels solid, the zippers don’t catch at all, very smooth, and the pockets are much bigger than i expected. i bought it for myself, not a child, and i’ve got a slim build (5’4” - 110lbs - 32DD for reference) and the chest clip works great. lots of room for adjusting. i can even fit my macbook with TONS of room! i love the space theme and colors, the stitching is really good and i think it will hold up nicely. i’m taking it on a trip to california (disneyland) so i’ll update after to see how it holds up. also, the manufacturer included a card that says they have a full 1 year warrantee (replace or refund) so that’s a huge plus. very impressed and would definitely buy again.UPDATE: this held up perfectly in disneyland and i’ve actually replaced this as my everyday diaper bag. still going strong, no problems with the zipper or any wear/tear. i also get compliments everywhere i go! such a cute backpack!

This backpack is so cute! We chose the Cute Fruits design. The colors and design are perfect for a little pre-k to kindergartener. I did a lot of searching for a backpack that was large enough to hold paper/folders but not so big that it would overwhelm the frame of my petite 4-year-old. I ordered this one and crossed my fingers it would meet my needs. I'm relieved and pleased to say that it not only met my needs, but my little one approves of it as well! She has been wearing it around the house and cannot wait to start using it for school. The backpack is well made and lightweight. It arrived packaged nicely and on time.

****UPDATE****After less than a month of use the straps are already coming off the backpack. I’ve read reviews saying the same thing but I thought I’d give it a try anyway. I loved it for the first few weeks I’ve used it, but now not so much. It’s not very durable. Will attach photos of defects.**Previous 5-STAR review**I use it as a diaper bag for my 1 yr old son. It ia good size and can fit quite a few things considering how small it is. I had my petite 4 year old daughter try it on and it was a good sized backpack for her frame (not too big/small). The quality seems very durable. I love how the bag looks inside as well. The lining on the backpack has a striped print and it seems like it would hold up very well.Overall, I would recommend this backpack.

Got this for my 3 yr old son who is pretty tall for his age ( wears 5T) he loves it and it holds a decent amount . We have to help him buckle and unbuckle the front but overall he loves it !

I purchased the SMALL size. My daughter is 4.5yo & starting pre-k. Her teacher said they will be bringing home a 1in binder daily. As you can see from the pics, it’s a tight fit (didn’t try putting it in until after I put her name on it…oops 😬) it DOES fit. It just has to be shoved all the way in & pushed all the way back for it to zip up right. Hopefully it’ll serve it’s purpose though. I used the Cricut heat press to put her name on it & as you can see in one of the pics, the inside backpack pattern transferred to the rag with the heat. Kinda makes me wonder if the dye will come off/fade if it gets wet (water bottle spilling inside or something). Last couple pics show how it fits on my daughter. Overall, super cute! The colors are vibrant & the print is adorable! My daughter was super excited when she saw it.

This bag is so cute! Great fit for preschooler. My 4.5 year old is obsessed with dinosaurs and this has a nice unisex look with a variety of dinosaurs on it. Will hold standard 8x10 school folder and other essentials. Be aware this is smaller than the general school bag. Built in side bottle holders are great. Looks well constructed and has a 1 year limited warranty.Cons: It is pricey for a small bag and does have a smell. Even after a couple of weeks of letting it air-out, there is a smell. I'm pretty sure that tag said to hand wash, I will verify and see if that elevates the smell.

What an amazing bag! We bought this for my eldest son 2 years ago and its still in perfect condition, despite being stuffed full every school day and whilst being taken on holiday. Best value and it looks great. Now looking for another Vaschy bag for my younger son since it has proven to be great quality. I expected it'd last about 3 months, not 2 years. It's well exceeded expectations

We bought this bag around 3 months ago in preparation for the little ones going back to school. It has since been used as hand luggage and an overnight bag for staying with relatives. The bag itself has two main compartments (main & front), both are secured by zip and provide reasonable lines protection against the elements and odd shaped goods. The bag has good space and could quite comfortably fit: spare clothes, activity books, reading books, pencil cases and selected teddies for example.Beautifully designed and the kids love it. I personally have had 0 problems with the quality of this product and highly recommend it for all around use.

We bought the small model for my daughter 2 years ago, she kept it for 2 years and it remained in great condition, We got her the big one this year and she wanted the exact same design she had before! we also bought my son his first school bag. They are great, they look good, the capacity is perfect for lunch box and a coat, and they are not overly big on little children (mine are now aged 7 and 5). the buckle thing that ties in front of their bodies is a great feature we all like because it allows them to run without pulling on the straps constantly like i see their friends doing.

We bought this for my daughter (6) for school and she loves it. It also looks really cool on me when I carry it for her. It's plenty big enough and seems like it'll last her years!!

The media could not be loaded.  Amazing! Love the quality - love the size. Reviews said it wa small but for my 3.5year old this was perfect. It fit a yumbox lunch box and still has space. Also it’s too big for him but still gives room to grow. He figured out the latches all by himself so I feel good he can do it at school without help. It’s not gone through wear and tear just yet so can’t comment on durability.
