although they are very bright and look amazing, the effort required to install them properly is excessive, at least for an e39, the modification required to Both the headlight housing and the LED's is extensive and wouldn't be easy for simple DIY'er. Be careful on this purchase

I already have CCFL light installed on 99 540i. The product I had installed previously were great at night but hardly visible during the day. With these new CCFL lights, it is so bright that it could almost be the headlight. Will test to see how bright they are during the day.

I had two issues. One, the rings are not the correct size in order to sit on the bezel flush, rendering the double-size tape useless. The only thing holding them on is the clip at the top. This will keep them from falling off but it won't keep them from moving while driving.The second and biggest issue was that one of the rings was dead on arrival. I switched the plugs and no change, so it obviously wasn't the inverter. See the video.Make sure you check that they work before you go through the trouble of installing, unlike me. Really frustrating!

I tested them before installing them and they all worked fine. Now after installing them, one turned purple at the bottom (second time they were turned on) and another one is showing signs of turning purple. A lot of time was put into taking the headlights apart and installing these rings, only to have two starting to fail right after installation. Would not recommend.

Well packaged and easy to install. 99 740i. Must take apart entire headlight assembly. Angel eyes go behind the chrome housing and lenses.

Install was straight forward, but the ballasts are bad. Moving the connectors around I found that 1 of the 4 halos light up properly, and the other 3 only get a dull purple light.
