Solid, effective design, and good composition.
The price was/is very nice. The product, i.e., combination of wood and rivets of the handle, and the metal of the spatula itself, are solid and clearly of good quality. The maker includes two pieces of very helpful advice: first, not to machine wash the spatula, and second, that the spatula be cleaned of any salt residue after use. Neither of these pieces of advice will be at all difficult to follow, which will assure the buyer of years of reliable use of the spatula..

Very happy with it
Solid SS with wood handle. Right size for pie or cake or lasagna serving. Very good craftsmanship. Good to look at and even better to use.

Have use this for some time now and am very pleased. Sturdy but not too heavy. My go to for the BBQ as well as our cast iron skillets.

Pros and cons
I bought 3 of these, different shapes. A slotted one, an angled one, and a straight one. I love the quality of the steel and build. They should last a very long time. That being said, here's what I don't like...they are short. The handles could be several inches longer. The wood doesn't have a good finish on it. I have oiled the handles down with cutting board oil...but it doesn't hold up well in water, and they do need to be washed. I have other wooden handles scoops, and wooden utensils that hold up just fine, so it is definitely the wood used on these. The wood is rough, not nicely smoothed. That tells me it is a softer more porous wood and probably not the best choice for a kitchen utensil. If anything causes them to be thrown away, it will be that wooden handle. They work great tho, not just for flipping and cooking, but for cleaning my cast iron pans when I'm done. They are well-balanced. Just not thrilled with the length.
