I used this under my straw rug for the fall. However the straw rug leaked tan on my stripped rug. It mostly came out. There is a small outline left behind. Just be aware of how you use this rug. It's not the manufacturers fault. I didn't think the other rug would bleed color all over my beautiful stripped rug. But definitely worth it. It fits in the wash and is still soft.

This is a cotton mixed made off. Get dirty and wet. You can put it on the washer but keep in mind the white color gets dirty y soon
