I put the wrong CeraVe product down but I use the cleanser and my husband uses the moisturizer. As an elderly person, he bleeds due to blood thinners and thin skin. He could not use regular band aids because it would tear his skin. After using this item for 2 weeks, his skin got better. If there is a down fall (which I do not think there is) is that it is thick and shinney, but it is better than bleeding.

I am so amazed by how fast this cleared up my baby’s dry irritated skin. My 3mo old had a bad case of cradle cap that then turned into terribly chapped peeling skin that spread to his entire face. We tried everything and his skin only got worse, we were so stressed out trying to find things to soothe his skin we tried aquaphor, breast milk, and a number of other baby lotions that didn’t work. After taking him to his pediatrician he recommended this healing ointment and I am so happy he did. We noticed results the next morning his skin started to clear up and felt smooth as ever. These pictures are 3 days apart the first one being the first application with this ointment. He still has just a bit of redness on one of his cheeks and a little dry patch on his forehead but the difference is amazing. I believe there is a baby version of this ointment but the pediatrician said to get this one specifically so that’s what we went with. I will always have this stuff in my baby bag from now on it’s amazing!

My son(3 years old) has struggled with eczema since birth. He is on several topical medications. Heard good things about this and so far it has worked great on his trouble areas, specifically for dry skin. Hoping it keeps working as it has been after a few weeks.

I can't live without this stuff! I use tretinoin but it has been known to make my skin peel. If I use this after applying tret, I'm SO much better. Some recommend vaseline for this method, it's called "slugging," but this is way better than petroleum product. I'm now I'm addicted and spread it all over my lips, elbows and knees before going to bed.You can apply this directly over tret or use the sandwich method, applying tret, then moisturizer, then this. Highly recommend to keep skin hydrated

There are pros and cons to this product. I bought it based on my dermatologist’s recommendation. The product itself is very effective, and I’ve noticed a significant difference in my hands. However, the description claims it’s non-greasy, but it is. Therefore, I can only use it before going to bed.I strongly recommend you avoid the tube packaging and opt for the jar instead. The product is so thick that it’s extremely difficult to squeeze out of the tube. I tried various methods before giving up and buying the jar. That’s why I’m giving it a 4-star rating, with the packaging being the only reason for the lower rating.I wish I had found this product years ago because I’ve spent a lot of money on other products only for it not to work. It has helped my extremely dry skin, cracked hands and finger tips, and dry, cracking cuticles. You won’t be disappointed!

I have had chapped lips all my 60+ years. And I have tried probably 60+ products searching for relief. This CeraVe healing ointment is the best product I ever used for healing my lips. It has a consistency similar to petroleum jelly. It's great for other dry skin if you don't mind the thick, slick texture. I originally received a couple of sample containers. Now that they are empty, I purchased this 12 oz. container for refills. I would have been happier with a container less than 12 oz. But it will not go to waste.
