Good camera - get it - it's worth it.
Okay, so I've been using this for over a month now. Driving for Uber/Lyft to make some extra money and wanted one of these for my protection.Pros:Fantastic picture! Seriously a great picture.Easy to use and setup.Dual cameras - in the car and out front if you want - or whatever you want! They are adjustable!AudioHas an internal battery so it will save whatever video you are working on before it shuts off.Loops records over old video so you don't have to remove the card to delete old stuff. The card (32gb) holds about a days worth of driving on high quality setting.Cons:The suction holds really well, but the unit slides off the suction mount too easily. It has fallen a few times - annoying. It needs a tighter fit. I removed a star for this reason alone but added a star back because the price is just way too good! The audio isn't that great. It's okay but could be a lot better. I didn't buy this for the audio though, so all is good.32 gb sd card is too small imho. I wish I could use larger.Too many flashing lights on the unit! A little distracting.Okay, so for the geeks out there you will figure this thing out pretty quick, but reading some of the reviews I realize not a lot of you understand technology well so let me give a few tips.#1 - you need to buy a mini SD card. Buy a 32 GB card. Here is the one I bought here on Amazon: SanDisk Ultra 32GB microSDHC Memory Card With Adapter (SDSDQUA-032G-U46A)#2 - Don't try to watch any of your videos on the tiny little screen! The best part about the screen is to make sure you have your cameras pointed in the right direction. Pop the micro card out, place it in its adapter, then stick it in your SD card reader slot on your computer. If you don't have an SD card reader slot, but a USB SD reader. It's worth it and only cost a couple of bucks. But don't try to use the screen for viewing!#3 - Formatting - lots and lots of questions about formatting. Don't format the card when you get it. Just stick it in the slot. Yep, you heard me - the SanDisk micro card slides right in and starts taping from the start. Ignore all format instructions.#4 - Some people have shared that they get the message that the card is full. This MAY happen. Yes, the unit is supposed to loop record but it may, at some point, not do this. Why do you ask? Well, there is a setting on it where it purposely won't write over certain clips. It records in one minute clips. If it encounters heavy movement (like a car accident) it marks the clip as one that can't be written over. This is a feature to protect you if you do get in a car accident, that way if the recorder keeps recording, it doesn't copy over the accident! So, if you accidentally bump the camera, it will mark the file as "do not copy over." These can add up after a while and, who knows, maybe other glitches, but you may eventually get an "SD card full" error. If you do, simply go through the menu on the camera and choose "Format Card." Yes, now you can format the card. (I know I said no need to do this, but this is the exception to the rule.) The format takes about 2 seconds and you are back on the road.#5 Viewing. If you want to watch your videos you need to know how to find them on your card. Pop your card out (yes, it's a pain to get it in and out, but just push it down slightly and it will pop back up.) Put the micro card in the adapter and put it in your computer. If you computer does recognize it right away, just set it to open the file with file explorer. If it doesn't, then simply go to file explorer or My Computer, and look for your SD card. Once you open the file menu, plow down until you see two sub folders. One will have first camera views and the other will have the second camera views. You will notice the pictures are awesome. Really decent quality. You can delete all of these files right there if you want. I do whenever I view a clip.Okay, I'm sure there are a million questions I didn't answer, but this should help get you started.Great camera - so much so I bought one for my wife's car!And the price! OMG - just buy the thing.

Great cameras great company!
ok so I really wanted this to be a great camera for uber. the two cameras is a wonderful idea and i love how you can adjust them (i do wish the higher rez camera was on the right side instead of left... so i could use the left side camera for full time interior... as it gets the drivers side window alot easier than the right side camera recording the driver side cam.).I personally own alot of high end sd cards because I am into the drone camera hobby. I first tried a 8gb sandisk ultra class 10 card. formatted in computer and inserted into the dashcam. It worked for around 2 hours then the unit started freezing up everytime i tried to use it. If i took the card out the unit wouldnt freeze so i assumed it was the card.. i then formated the card in the dashcam and tried again.. still froze after every reboot Right when it tries to start recording. OK now i am using a sandisk 32 gb class ten card extreme card. i formated in the camera with this one.. ok at first this card seemed to fix all my issues.. it worked for around 2 days. and i only drive around 3 hours a day. I was so happy with this camera during that time. I have the screen on 60 sec time out. during the time the screen is on i did notice it kinda started flicking. then BAM it froze (as seen in the day time picture) after i rebooted it came back temp but now it is completely random. It has been a few days and it seems to freeze around 2 or 3 times a day now. I tried putting the card into my computer and formating to fat32 but the unit still randomly freezes or just shuts off. i have tried different cords so i know its not the power cable. Also to top it all off both times i have tried to view the files in my computer and it says my cards are corrupt and wants to format them (delete everything). i have now also tried a samsumg sd card and it seems to act exactly as the sandisk extreme card. I really wanted this to work and i did enjoy it while it functioned correctly.Update: the company contacted me and offered me a upgraded model for my troubles. Sadly in the end this or the next cam didn't work as specificly as I needed but the company offered me a full return in money. That is awesome customer service in my mind. They will go very far out of their way to help you fix any situation that comes up. They also sent me a suction cup unit for free... Like I said very helpful.Update. Turns out it was my cars cigarette lighter plug that was giving me issues.. this company went to such great lengths to satisfy me....that they sent me the upgraded cam. Also I figured out not to use the included car plug that came with my first model on the upgraded second model even though they both are mini USB. You have to use the new one included with my upgraded model. I now have a new car and installed the upgraded model with new plug. It works great. Only thing now is I need a suction mount for the new pruveeo cam as the suction mount for the orig mx2 doesn't work on this one. I have upgraded my review from 3 stars to 5. Thank you pruveeo. If a company rep reads this.. can you please contact me about how I can get a new suction cup mount for the upgraded model? Not the mx2. Thank you.

A failure
I bought this at the end of 2019 and put it with a stack of upgrades for a car I had at the time. Sold the car before the upgrades went in, and lost track of this camera until now (April 2021) to install in a different vehicle. Took it out of the box, connected the power with the hard wired add-on I'd purchased and camera powered up no problem. The camera reports that the card is not formatted even though it *has* been formatted, both via the Pruveeo menus as well as Mac and PC card readers. File system shows up on the card when connected to a computer, but the camera reports not being happy with it every time it's powered on and refuses to record.I can only see options to have one reverse-pointed camera and one forward-facing. That is ok, but the selected option doesn't persist and needs to be reset. Not that it matters, since it refuses to record anyhow.Of course I am not pursuing a warranty return, as this is long past any reasonable return window. But it was essentially brand new out of box. I should have set it up when I received it. Now off to shop for something that actually works and will be avoiding this brand.
