These arrive vacuum sealed and so fresh. Nice big, whole pods. None are broken so far as I can see. I would recommend these for sure.

Good Source Of Black Cardamom At A Good Price
I initially used the black cardamom with several other herbals (green cardamom, fennel fronds, fennel seeds, star anise) use my Sous Vide to infuse vodka and make a liqueur recommended by Alton Brown. The liqueur turned out great and the flavor of the black cardamom seeds (seeds extracted from pods) were a key component. Process took less than a couple of hours using the Sous Vide.I will be using this black cardamom for flavoring other promising recipes (Scandinavian, Indian, and Middle-Eastern). Very glad I bought this product and look forward to using it again.

Pods are larger in size than expected, much larger than green cardamon pods. Good stuff, none the less!

if you like Dal, you need these around
Such a rich and smoky flavor from at type of cardamom I didn't even know existed! I bought some to make Swathi's Dal Makhani (black/urad daal). Adds a dramatic savory/smoky flavor to the dish.
