Hex head is a smaller size than the old one. This one is 14mm vs 16mm for the original.

Bought May 7th, 2023. Today May 6th 2025 I notice a slight oil leak coming from the oil pan plug. The plug has always been torque to 22ft pounds with new crush gasket. When I went to remove the plug it had cracked in half. Revealing a Phillips screw head and the magnetic portion remain deep in the oil pan. What a nightmare with some quick thinking and luck I was able to hook a scribe in to a small hole I made with a dermal. I do not recommend this product. It could of cost me an engine or worse. If engine siezed on I5. Good thing I kept the original oil drain plug.

Was not so sure about it since I went from using a 17mm to a 9/16 for the plug but it threaded in smoothly and zero leaks. Perfect.
