Nothing worked then I tried this
I have an 80#, 4 year old labradoodle and a 60# 2 year old springer spaniel doodle. Every morning we go out for a mile plus long jog. Some time ago when a neighbor saw the dogs pulling my she recommended that a harness would control their urge to pull. So I bought harnesses for both of them and used the front chest connection which is supposed to stop pulling. It didn't matter which connection I used the dogs still pulled me like sled dogs and no matter how much I bribed them with treats or used a dog whistle nothing improved the situation. Then I got these prong collars for both dogs. OMG!Night and day isn't even close to describe the difference. I was thinking I could no longer jog with them it was so frustrating and then I put these on and immediately the issue was solved. The 60# still likes to lead but he doesn't pull anymore. They were both first apprehensive when the collars were put on but immediately when they saw they meant a walk they took to them like they were a special treat. And the quick release clasp makes a world of difference without having to put the prongs over their head and eyes, safer, quicker and easier. Without question this product deserves 5 stars!I read other reviews, I can see these might not work for small dogs. One of the complaints was the metal is weak. Both my dogs are very strong and so far absolutely no issue with weak metal. They do need adjusting, prongs must be removed to get the collar sized for the dog. A strong person can do this by hand otherwise you will need pliers but it is fairly easy to do.Lastly, the dogs were always hesitant to allow me to put the harnesses over their heads even though they knew it meant going for a walk. Now with these pronged collars as soon as they see them they run up to me and stick up their heads without any hesitation at all.

Works well
This has really helped our pup on walks and runs! Our 80-lb German shepherd used to pull on the leash so much that it was almost impossible for me to take him on walks. With this collar, he pulls less frequently and when he does, it’s more of a gentle tug before he self-corrects. Very pleased with this product. Appreciate the extra rubber tips that came with the collar, although none of the original ones have come off yet.

Would recommend
Collar works. I was NOT a fan of these collars but as long as the prongs are curved, dont have sharp points, and is worn correctly, it doesnt actually hurt the dog. This collar is how a prong collar should be. It has a made walking/leash training my pitbull MUCH easier. She learned very quickly that she cant pull on it. Seems pretty durable but we havent had too many issues with her pulling super hard. The links are not easy to add or remove but i was able to do it without pliers.. did break a nail trying tho. My only issue with this collar is that my dogs fur gets discolored. If you have a white dog, their neck WILL look dirty from this collar, very quickly, with or without the rubber caps.

This collar is a game changer
My Siberian Husky gets distracted by birds and squirrels. I have 2 bad shoulders and it made training and walks difficult at times. This collar has plastic over the prongs so no discomfort on her part. Nanook is totally easy to walk and train now, thanks to this collar. If you have a big dog that's easily distracted on walks, this is an amazing training tool to keep them from pulling and sprinting. Highly recommended!

Extremely sturdy
Very heavy duty, be sure to remove the rubber tips otherwise they can pull on your dog's skin and hair

Broke - be careful
Bought this in December and use it pretty much every day most days twice a day and today it snapped while walking. She is a puller but I’m shocked this broke. Thankfully the dog she was pulling towards was a friend 😅

Perfect for a temperamental golden doodle!
I bought a medium because my dog is 23 pounds. She is 5 now, and I’ve tried everything to get her from pulling on the leash. From the minute I put this collar on, her behavior corrected. I had tried harnesses, treats, to no avail. I left the rubber prongs on, but will take them off if pulling behavior starts up again. Also, this collar was the same one advertised at pet shops for half the price!

A poor fit for my dog
We had a Sprenger prong collar that worked for our smallish standard poodle with a 14" neck circumference for years. Finally the spring that keeps the hasp closed broke and I needed to replace it. This collar was inexpensive and had a clip that went below the throat, instead of having to thread a chain through an eye and connect the hasp, so I ordered it.Prong collars should fit comfortably around the upper part of the neck. The chain connected to the leash attachment was so long that the collar slipped down to the dog's lower throat. I had to take 8 links out of the chain at the top and one link out of the prongs to make it fit correctly. (see photo) More trouble than I expected. After using it for a few walks I have discovered another problem. The links at each end of the collar itself are too long. They are out of proportion to the size of the collar and make the collar rotate around her neck until the leash attachment is at the bottom.I plan to buy a new collar. I can no longer return this one since I had to clamp it in a vise to bent the upper loop open.

Works well but hard to adjust.
It works really well just very difficult to adjust its length.
