Full product review = Taste , texture, sturdiness
My personal thoughts and experience with this product:-100% Biodegradable and made from a renewable resource.- Made from birchwood.-Feels good in your hand and handles well.- Kids used these just fine- Smooth surfaces, no splintering.- Would be hard stabbing foods such as steak or thin lettuce but works perfectly fine for everything else such as hotdogs, melon, cake, noodle salads etc.- Sturdy handle and tines.- You can burn these in a campfire or fireplace.- I purposely broke one and it took a lot of force. Even though the break had a sharp point , It split in two clean pieces without splintering.- It has more of a spork look with a tad bit longer tines than you would find on a spork but I am guessing if they made the tines any longer, they wouldn't be as sturdy.- Works good for cutting food with the side of the fork.- The only con that I can note is that , if you are eating a dry food that doesn't saturate the serving end of the fork , the inside of your lips tend to stick to the wood as you pull it out of your mouth but that is to be expected since it is wood.-The people at the company that makes these forks , 'One White Apple' , are very friendly and nice to do business with.- These do come in a thin plastic wrap. A cardboard box might be more eco friendly? After researching the burden of plastic on our earth and how the chemical makeup Of plastic messes with your body , these are a good solution to replace plastic forks. We purchased a set of 200 to split between our family and my sisters babyshower and we purchased another set of 200 to donate to our cubscout pack meets and to teach the boys that there are more options out there besides plastic. We plan to burn these in the campfires and I plan on buying lots more for future pack meetings.

I was having a house Warming with a country like decor (gabalized metal containers and burlap accents)
I was having a house Warming with a country like decor (gabalized metal containers and burlap accents), these cutlery seemed to fit better than plastic. Well, they not only looked perfect, they were actually great to use. Very sturdy, we had pulled pork and slaw, and not only person broke they fork. They are finished very fine with no splinters. I would say fancy enough for an outdoor wedding if you didn't want to use real silverware. Way fancier than plastic, even the silver colored plastic. These have a much nicer mouth feel and just more interesting.

Worked well with our theme.
Bought these to use for a woodland themed birthday party. Attractive utensils and environmentally friendly. The one comment that I heard was that the texture of the spoons felt a little rough. Just not slippery like a plastic spoon would feel. Just a personal opinion, nothing to do with the quality of the product.

sturdy, and contribute to the look I was going ...
I purchased these forks to attach to the top of bento-style boxes for people to pack up leftovers at Thanksgiving. The forks are attractive, sturdy, and contribute to the look I was going for. It doesn't hurt that they are eco-friendly, either! The only negative is that they weren't available in smaller quantities. I decided upon receiving them, however, that they will be perfect for summer barbecues, so the extra forks will come in handy - and maybe class up the summer parties.

DONT BUY: really not good not safe:
I just started using them after purchasing these wooden folks. 2 people including myself got a splinter in their finger after handling the forks. I got one immediately when I was picking up the fork but did not say anything due to embarrassment. As I was gathering the rest of the forks to exchange to a different set of other forks I already discovered two others receive the same thing. Those tiny splinters hurt too. So of course all 3 of us went inside trying to get it out of our finger. That was just Crazy. I just thank God it was not their lip or tongue. Just think I ordered the forks, spoons and knives back in April 9th and just started using them due to weather getting warm again. Don’t Buy. Seriously not good. I ordered plates as well but did not use which that is probably ok. Will let you know.

WAY better than Plastic.
These are great. They work well. They're sturdy and they worked on a full ThanksLiving meal - including being able to use the fork to cut through a thick pie crust. Best of all, they are off to the Green waste bin, no plasticware. They work great. People were very impressed at the party I got them for.

Photo seems misleading
The photo shows packaging that looks helpful as a (biodegradable?) container. Instead, mine came wrapped in *plastic*, which if I recall isn't so biodegradable. Plus, I was out the container so had to find something else to put them in. In my view, not as advertised.

No box as advertised!
We ordered this product because the main photo advertise a box to hold the items in but it comes in s plastic bag. I'd have paid much less if I know this will not come with a box. This is not accurate
