Very nice quality punch needle set
I wasn’t expecting great quality at this price but was pleasantly surprised. The two wooden handled punch needles feel very sturdy and should stand up to years of use. The plastic handled needle is lighter weight but still comfortable to hold. The fabric is soft, with no stretch and has ready sewn edges to prevent fraying. The hoop is strong plastic with an easy to grip screw and holds the fabric firmly. The included tapestry needles and threaders are perfect for adding details to a punch needle design. I am extremely impressed with this kit. I would recommend it to anyone starting out with punch needle embroidery.

Good value. Great for those starting out and don’t know which needles to try.
Bought this set as I’m a beginner and didn’t know which needles I needed. This has a good selection with some adjustable and fixed needles so can try them out and see which type suits me best. Most of the needles are suited for regular yarn (technically rug punching) rather than using embroidery floss. I’ve mostly dk thick yarn in my stash so I’ve tried a sample with that…So far I’ve just played with going around in circles and trying different loop sizes (see photos for uninspiring sampler lol)I’ve just used the middle size needle in the adjustable needle holder as per photo as that suited the dk yarn better plus the size of the hoop and monks cloth provided. If you’re beginning, then it’s easy to rip out tests and start again. I did that a few times to just get the feel of the technique. Don’t worry about holes in the cloth - if you rub them with your nail then they’ll close up again. The hoop provided holds the fabric is well… it’s plastic which isn’t the best environmentally but it does have a groove and receiver type locking mechanism which does hold the material well. The needles will probably not last forever but so far the needle I’ve used is holding onto the needle well but it’s only a light screw holding it so the threads will probably wear over time. However the set for the price will enable me to determine whether punch needle is for me and which types of needle suit me - then I can invest in better quality needles.

Perfect for beginners
I went into hobbycraft and for the price of 1 punch needle it was nearly £15 so for this whole set it is definitely worth it and i used this to get me started

NEEDLE IS HUGE
I did not realise that the needles are huge like drink straws, they punch a massive hole in the fabric, it is maybe for rugs, but with this size hoop and fabric what kind of rug will it be? Also really expensive for what it is.

Not good
The needle was too big and the thread kept coming out. Waste of money
