I got this reel as my first one was the spool type that you had to wind by hand. The addiction of the AMS reel to my bow immediately changed the game. You can reel the arrow back quickly for follow up shots when you miss. When you do hit your target this thing holds up to the challenge of big fish. I liked it so much that I bought a second reel for my back up Bowfishing bow. I will highly recommend this product to anyone who is interested. 10/10 would buy again.

Great system. I've probably shot a couple hundred common carp in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho and I've had this on my bow for about 4 years and haven't had to replace the string yet and have not had any problems. Works great only thing is how the engagement reel works. It's basically 2 plastic wheels with one on an arm that is engaged with a trigger type mechanism and the thing is if you shoot a large fish the string can slip with through the retriever system. But, other than that, I absolutely love this system. And as far as the slipping in the retriever mechanism I could care less if it didn't do it, I just hand line in the monsters.I recommend this to all bow fishing fanatics!

It's really the best option I have used thus far but just hurts coughing up the near 100 bucks. I'd have already bought a stash of these and another (third) bow if these cost less, but that price just hurts to pocket book for saving up.Pros - just works better than the other things I've used or seen people use or used myself.Con, not cons, just singular - price. I used a pawn shop bow with front string loop/holder for years because of cost looking at this. Finally hit enough fish and go out enough I saved and coughed up for this thing. I can't 'not' (double negative) recommend if you have the bucks for this plus arrows, plus bow, plus other stuff, but it adds up fast.Save up. Nothing else compares that I've seen or used before.

Very fast shippjng and was exactly as described

Before this, I was using a Cajun reel, and I must say. The ease of use, and not having to click the button to open the bail everytime is much easier. The line is also very strong and holds up well. 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting to get into bowfishing, or for someone who is looking for a better set up.

Slapped this puppy on my PSE Kingfisher bowfishing Kit and turned into a carp slaying machine! For the price you cannot beat this reel. High quality pre-strung reel that holds up to some abuse. I am new to bowfishing but this combination is fun and effective. You will not be disappointed. easy to install and plenty of videos on youtube for reference.

reel is of the highest quality and really is the best product out there for bowfishing, this is my second Ams reel and the only reason i have 2 is because my wife liked mine so much she demanded her own! i have never had one tangle and never had an arrow fly back at me while using this reel. would recommend to anyone and everyone.
