The screw holes line up perfectly with those on my Bullet Telecaster but the rectangular switch slit is just ever so slightly tight. This prevents the free motion of the switch arm. Ultimately the original Alpha switch feels better in all respects. I’ll keep this one just in case one of my originals goes bad.

Perfect for my telecaster

This switch replaced an old 5 way enclosed switch on a Squier II. I wired it for neck/neck and bridge/bridge with the last tone knob being a blend for the middle pickup. Connections are solid and each position snaps into place. I expect this switch to last another 30 years.

Great quality, has a nice smooth but firm feel to it so know you are intuitively,. Packaged responsibly and arrived in timely manor - that's always appreciated. Especially now days. There's no description or measurement of the switch shaft size for us Telecaster owners wanting to know whether our knobs will fit or not. It would reduce disappointment I'm sure if something was done about it. I took a chance by the images provided and it came out in my favor. Anyway, the width of the switch shaft is 4.85mm or 0.191" wide. I believe this is the wider of the two options that are out there. Some of the cheaper ones listed their specs, but not this one. So, now you know. At bridge position both switches I bought cut out dead. I can probably open it up and fix this,. but shouldn't have to on a new switch. They're nice but already having issues that are major malfunction when playing and your Tele goes dead. If it's not a fluke than I hope they fix this because I'd like to purchase more later. Good switch other than that.

It's a switch. It switches between three things. What more can you want really? I suppose you could ask for more if you're looking for a five way switch, but then you're just in the wrong spot.I didn't bother doing a whole lot of research on this before purchase. I figure the fine folk at Fender have probably made a few switches in their day, so they probably know a thing or two about it. I just wanted something that would switch between pickups anyway, and this does it.Even with my limited skills, it was pretty easy to wire up after looking up a few schematics online. If you have halfway decent motor skills, and an equally acceptable soldering iron, you shouldn't have any trouble. Unless of course you're like me and wire it backwards, which still works, but looks a little funny. I just say it gives it character, and pretend I meant to do it that way, so don't tell anyone.That's not why I took off the star though. That was my fault. I took off a star for two other reasons.1) While the mounting holes lined up fine, the screws were a little wide for the plate for my guitar (affinity tele). I had to drill out the mounting plate on the guitar to widen the holes. After that it mounted fine.2) Whatever the plastic thingy that goes onto the top is called, doesn't fit snugly. More than once it has fallen off while switching, and I've had to race my dog for it. I could put a dab of glue on it, but that just creates a hassle if I ever decide to remove or replace the switch later.Other than that, you really can't go wrong with this item. It switches as promised, and feels pretty solid.

The media could not be loaded.  Solitamente prendo selettori made in japan con contatti placcati oro che costano anche un pochino meno (tra i 12 ed i 14 euro) ma con Fender la qualità del prodotto c'è tutta, buonissimo e preciso lo scatto, e si sente che è bello robusto, da comprare ad occhi chiusi
