Hyperikon 14 Inch Ceiling Light, 100 Watt Replacement (25W), LED Flush Mount, 4000K Daylight, Dimmable, Energy Star

This product met my needs very well. It is attractive, energy efficient, and the company stood behind the product when one of many I ordered proved to be defective. The only advice I would provide for product improvement involves negating some minor extra work if your electrical box mounts using the narrower of the 2 screw keys, you must unscrew the transformer in this unit to access the narrower key holes. That is fully doable but instead of using screws to fasten the transformer, I would recommend a clip or twist lock design as the screws that fasten the transformer on the light are very tiny and easy to drop or lose when mounting the light overhead.

I bought this light to replace an old style flush mount light that was originally with the house. I’m updating my kitchen and I wanted better lighting. I’m amazed at how bright and clear this light is and matches the recessed daylights in my kitchen. I didn’t do the installation but had it don’t by a contractor. They had some difficulties because the one I got did not have screws so they had to find the right screws. Took them 20mins but it worked perfectly!Wish I replaced it with this a long time ago but I’m so happy to have this now. I just hope it lasts us a long time because I don’t want to have to replace the entire thing. The photos suck because it doesn’t really show how nice they are. Looks better in real life than these photos.

I'm a two-time buyer of this item. Bought one just over two years ago and it recently failed. I run it from 5am - 9pm almost every day but still expected longer life based on the product claims. Anyway, I like this design in my home office and the light is pretty good, and the room needs a new light so I ordered a replacement. The newly ordered item arrived today. It was shipped in the store box, which should have been packed inside a shipping box. There was no cushioning and the box was opening at both ends. One of the three mounting screws is missing so the retaining circle is hanging in the air. From a functional perspective, the retaining ring on this newer item is at least a quarter inch wider, which intrudes on the light and draws your eyes to the ceiling. Like something dark is lurking up there. The old design was better. Unfortunately, the old design's screws had a bigger thread so I cannot use them with the new item. Nor does the old ring and light cover work on the replacement as size is different. I'll upgrade the review if the seller sends me a new nut to replace the missing item. Overall the seller's chintzy move to not package this properly is a big negative. Item shipped from Kentucky to the West Coast. We'll see how long this one lasts. Buy at your own risk.EDIT: After a few back-and-forth emails with the manufacturer, I asked for the screw thread size and said I'd buy a new nut at Home Depot. They recontacted me and said new screws would be mailed to me. Instead they mailed a whole new light -- this time in a proper shipping container (photo added). This solution was overkill to me as I simply needed one nut. So I'll store the extra light and use it to replace this one when it burns out eventually. Kudos to Hyperikon for making it right. I still prefer the old design with a thinner retaining bar; hence four stars instead of five.

I bought these to replace two 2-tube fluorescent fixtures (with failing ballasts) in my closet. Locally available similar lights were $30 more. These are terrific and they are a huge cosmetic improvement over the shop lights that were in the closet before. Not having to buy new ballasts made these a no-brainer. Yes, the lens is plastic but I have no problem with that. It appears durable and obviously less fragile than glass. The 4000K color is excellent - quite true color representation without the blinding light of 5000K.The 120 degree light pattern is great in avoiding dark areas in the closet - way better than the fluorescent fixtures. I can see where you might have to remove the transformer box (or whatever it is) to hook up to a narrower box but that should be no big issue. I had to replace the boxes in my closet so that was definitely the difficult part of my job. The lights themselves took 15-20 minutes to install.

I bought a bunch of these light fixtures in both the 12" and 14" sizes to install in various locations in the house (hallways, closets) to replace the old incandescent fixtures that were already in place when I moved in.The installation was real easy. The only tools you'll need are a screwdriver and a pair of pliers (to twist some hard to twist wires) Since the wires are colored, all you have to do is to make sure that you connect the same-colored wires on the fixtures to the wires on the ceiling and make sure that they're connected secure and tight, and you're done.Out of the bunch I bought, one started flickering. I contacted Hyperikon support and they immediately sent me a new fixture in the mail, no questions asked! Great support!I wouldn't hesitate buying other Hyperikon products!

This unit installed easily, gives excellent light and in my opinion looks look. If I needed another light I would definitely buy again. I have in the past bought their LED fluorescent tubes and they are good also which is why I chose to try this light, good choice.ADDITION: I said above if I needed another light I would buy these and I did, actually 5 more. In my experience they are good and delivery is excelent. Have not needed customer suport, which is good, but they are probably good also.

There's not a lot of light coming from the sides, I thought it would be a wider angle of light, but it's almost all coming from the center of the unit, which, in my office, creates too many shadows compared to the full 180 degree ones. They're good, but I wouldn't say they're 120 degree beam angle.... more like 75 degree for where the light intensity is.

They arrived on time and healthy two days ago. Installation is easy. They look beautiful and they are definitely bright. Have to wait longer to tell you more. I have heard that some start good but don't last long but don't know. Will order another set to keep in reserve just in case.

Super bright daylight light. Very easy to install. Our ceiling has two layers of plywood and one layer of drywall, so I wanted something I could screw directly into the ceiling. Very easy and good to know I won't have to change this fixture for many years

Liked the style for our galley kitchen. Light is nice and bright for the small amount of electricity being used. No noise. If the LEDs don't last at least a few years, then the value may be in question as they are not replaceable. Time will tell. So far, so great.
