Apace Vision: HyperGuard FX1800 Bike Light
▬ Introduction ▬▬▬This is quite an expensive bike light so may not be for everyone. For most people, a £20 bike light will do exactly what they need; however, if you have a higher budget and require/want a bike light which has an insane output, then this may be right product for you. There are several features this light boasts:• Output range between 50 lm - 1800 lm (6 lighting modes).• Twin beam, providing wide angle coverage.• Up to 50 hours battery life (1.9 hrs at 1800 lm and 50 hours at 50 lm).• Battery level indicator.• IPX6 water resistance rating (should be able handle a heavy downpour without issues).• USB output to charge external devices.• Aluminium alloy construction.▬ Box Contents ▬▬▬• FX1800 light.• Handlebar mount.• Wired remote.• USB to Micro USB charging cable.• Instruction manual.▬ Set-Up & Results ▬▬▬I really like how the handlebar mount works: It looks similar to a zip-tie except there is an adjustment wheel which feeds it through and tightens as it is turned clockwise; once tightened, it keeps the mount securely in place. The light simply slots onto the mount and it held firmly in place by the mount. There is a wired remote which is included and is an optional accessory, though I would highly recommend its use as can be placed within thumb reach and provides you with quick and easy lighting adjustment whilst on the go.The power button on the light doubles as a power indicator so you know roughly how much power is left:• Blue light = 61-100%.• Orange light = 21-60%.• Red light = 1-20%.The light output range is very impressive and covers enough to suit most needs. For me personally, the 1800 lm setting is far too powerful and would probably use the 500 lm most, but it's nice to have the option. One thing to bare in mind is this light can get very hot, especially at the highest output, so don't just grab the main part of the head after use and handle the lower part instead.▬ Final Thoughts ▬▬▬Without a doubt this is a VERY expensive bike light (£69.99 at the time of review), though I must say, is the best quality bike light I have ever owned and would recommend if it ticks all your boxes.✔ Pros:✓ Well constructed.✓ Great output range.✓ Decent battery life.✓ Easy to use.✖ Cons:✘ N/A (at time of review).

One powerful solid weighty rechargeable power pack and light beam.
Wow this is one heck of a battery pack..oh and it has a bulb attached…haha! What I’m trying to convey is that this is one powerful rechargeable power pack bicycle light. It’s a solid and fairly heavy pack that has an OK attachment. I must admit I did expect a wider and sturdier looking bicycle attachment, this is OK but for the weight of the power pack I would feel a little more reassured with a slightly wider/larger mount. It’s quite slim for the weight ratio. It has one button that you press for six modes of light. There is one setting called ‘Breath’ which is like a slow pulse light mode and a daylight saving mode which is a fast pulse light, strange names but hey ho! The other four settings are strengths of light. The maximum power beam is a powerful beam, but then so is the one mode down, not as bright but really very very bright still. You can power your mobile from this rechargeable pack also on the go which is quite handy. It’s totally waterproof to IPX6 level. You can angle the light so you can see of to the right or left as you are going along. I can see why the company say don’t look straight at the light…on max it looks like hot molten metal or in a word ‘inferno’. A great light, it should be at £69.99, it’s quite a wide field of light helped by the blue surrounds and the varying degrees of translucent plastic. Great as a torch but just don’t drop it. 5 stars. I was going to drop a star for the ‘not quite confidence inspiring mount’ but it’s not a big deal really. I almost forgot to mention the remote control button that can be wired up to the torch and attached anywhere on the handlebar. The light also comes with a USB charger and a good clear explanatory set of instructions. What’s not to like…not a lot! 5 stars.

Stopped working
I have had this since July, it was a fantastic light, but now doesn't work, only working when it's on charge, so can't recommend as it was expensive and not lasted long

A very good bike light
If you do much riding at night you have probably come across someone coming the other way that has a light so bright it leaves you blinded and almost causes you to fall off your bike, that person has one of these lights on their bike! Yes this is crazy bright. The light does have 6 lighting modes, all controlled by one multi press button. The light beam is really wide as well as bright. This light is better than my previous ones for a number of reasons• Its brighter• The beam is wider and goes further• The battery life is longer (up to 50hrs at 50lm)• It has a battery indicator (nothing worse than going for a ride and your light dies half way round)• It’s a really good build quality that makes me think it will last• The handle bar mount is easy to use and secure. If I had to find a fault this light is on the heavy side and quite pricy at the current site price of £59.99

Powerful light for night time manouevres
This is beast of a light that really performs in all conditions. Twin beams and multiple modes is nothing new however the massive battery life (with charge indicator), IPX6 waterproofing and the ability to angle the beam make this stand out from the crowd. That said the mount is not too substantial for a light of this price and weight but has not caused me any issues yet. If you have a big budget and really need massive brightness for your rides then this light is well worth considering.

Great light, one issue
It is a great light. Extremely bright at max setting. It is heavy, sturdy, and IPX6 waterproof, which means "it can resist high-pressure, heavy sprays of water". It can be used as a charger for your phone as well. Battery life seems to be as advertised. One thing I did not like is the strap that's used to secure the light to the handlebar. The strap does not look strong enough for a heavy bike light like this one. Other than that it is an absolutely great bike light.

Ottimo prodotto

Really nice bike light
The design is clean. The light goes from bright to "lifted truck with xenon headlights" bright. You can charge your phone with it. Use it as a flashlight. It's not going to be affected by rain or a drop in a puddle. All in all a really nice light and one that is instantly going on my road bike.

Very bright, light gets hot at max power
This light is very bright. On the high setting it should be enough for the darkest area you ride in. For areas with some street lights, the 2nd highest setting should be plenty. The beam spread is also good from top to bottom. Side to side is not bad either, and this one has a rotate feature on the mount with detentes (click stops) every so many degrees so you can aim it left or right as needed.Battery life looks to match the claims very well so far.The cons are that the mount is not ideal. It is not as secure as most that use a metal or thick solid plastic ring (with one moving side to get it over the bar) that wraps around the entire handlebar. This one has a thin flexible plastic strap portion with threads on one side, and that's how you tighten it using a large plastic nut. This is not the most secure mount by any means, and much cheaper lights have mounts that are more secure. You can see it in the first listing picture underneath the light. The thing sticking out the back down low is the threaded strap. Also, at the center aiming position, the light is slightly off center. The light is wide enough that it doesn't matter that much, but it is annoying and it shows that a stiff but 'non click' rotation mechanism would have been superior. I have one other bike light that does have this.Interestingly, like so many Chinese made products, this light is nearly identical to an 'Intey' branded bike light I bought a few years ago. That one did not have a rotation in the mount, and I think it only claimed 1600 lumens, and the dispersion surrounds on the front lenses were yellow instead of blue. In all other respects it appeared to be identical. My son dropped that one on the garage floor one time, and that was the end of it. You could not get it to stay on after that. Before the drop, battery life on high on the Intey branded model was indeed just under 2 hours on many rides. If you're doing longer rides as I often do, you need to find segments where you can use the 2nd highest setting to extend the battery life to get to 2 to 2.5 hours. Beyond that you better have a plan B unless you can use an even lower setting part of the time. We'll see how this one holds up over time. At an $80 price point I'm still giving it 3 stars even with the cons. This brightness will rival and even exceed some of the $100 and up lights, and it will be far brighter than most low cost $50 and under lights.
