Good One!!

The author has given his best to rhyme all couplets and gazals in English as well. As I could understand Urdu well, the translation didn't help me much. But for new-bees this is very helpful and nice book.

Excellent choice of Gazals and great explanations

Outstanding choice of gazals and very good lucid translation too. Especially the introduction pages are just too awesome. there are many interesting anecdotes related to legends life. I will definitely recommend it to any beginner who wants to explore world of Urdu Poetry with Mirza Ghalib.

Very incomplete even for a selection

It is a selection not the entire diwan so limited content was expected. However, couplets are missing for even some of the more famous ghazals included. English translation is underwhelming
