Not for tubeless setup.
Good traction up here in the PNW. Not supposed to be used as a tubeless tire, but I set it up as one and it works fine.I like this tire.

Not for tubeless.
I didn't need them. Would not work for tubeless set up. Returned them. Might have been my fault for not doing my research.

Improve your ride!
I recently picked up a 2017 Kona hardtail 29’er that already had an Ardent on the rear. On my first trail ride I was impressed at the amount of comfort/compliance and traction the tire offered, nearly as much as my full suspension which has admittedly “less expensive” tires. So I bought another to get a matching set. The bike is extremely comfortable on terrain, enough so it’s become my go-to because it’s significantly lighter than the full suspension. Bonus, the tire was on discount as the seller’s last in stock so it wasn’t all that much more than the lower-quality tires I’d been running. They feel stable at a lower pressure than cheaper tires, which gives a lot nicer performance over roots, ruts, etc.

Looks good, I just mounted on rear wheel
Hopefully this tire will last longer than the original that came on my mountain bike. Those only lasted 20 months. This fit easily on the wheel. Seems of better quality than OEM.

Good tire, good traction
Couldn't get it aired up in tubeless mode. My Giant Trance has been tubeless for years, always Maxxis. This is the first tube I couldn't get to air up tubeless. It came kind of twisted. Works fine with a regular tube with lots of slime.

Great tire for the price
This is great tire for the price. At this price point, the tire has lasted a while, and I have had less punctures compared to there entry level xc tires. The trade off is they have slightly less rolling resistance on bike paths. They do tend to pick up pebbles & rocks more frequent, causing them to fly into people behind me, or the frame.
