This product has been a staple of my Caribbean household for decades. It has a normal smell nothing too unusual,value for my money,it has a normal texture,caters to my hair health.

Now this stuff is better than oil sheen. It's great to use for the kids' hair. I just hate that it's twice the price on Amazon than it is in the store. I would buy from the store but if you have no other choice than to order it from Amazon go ahead. Great quality

I started my natural hair journey in 2011/12 (with a 22-month transition) and haven't used grease since 2013. I used this for the first time in 5 years and my hair thanked me. Lots of shine, still soft, doesn't look or feel like "hay" as of Day 4, and way less "single stand knots" on my ends. I never cared to use Blue Magic on my scalp, but it sure is one hell of a great sealant for my overall hair. In 2011-2013, there were slightly fewer natural hair-products as today. I can only recall only having things like Shea Moisture (don't care for it) and eco styler back then...so grease it was. My hair was so thick and soft when it was longer in 2011-2013For my hair, those natural carrier oils (eg: jojoba; grapeseed) don't do squat in terms of sealing in moisture into my hair for more than a day. I would have to spritz and re-oil my hair every night....with my hair looking/feeling rather "ashy" by Day 3 or so. I think I will just stick to using carrier oils only on my scalp and grease as a sealant for my overall hair .

I'm old school. I need to grease my scalp and hair. Blue Ultra Sheen seems not existent. This is a great substitute. Affordable, great size and pleasant scent.
