Great tool for all training, especially instrument training.
They are perfect for pilot's in training or anyone looking to brush up on instrument procedures. I have had this pair for 4 years now and they still work great. They've fallen on the ramp, been crushed in my bag, and thrown around the plane and they are still in great condition. Highly recommend these to all pilots.

I CANT SEE!!!
Ever wanted to look like a cross between a 1950s mad scientist and a blindfolded pigeon trying to earn its instrument rating? Look no further than these foggles!I slapped these bad boys on during my instrument training and instantly lost all peripheral vision—just like the FAA intended. It’s like flying in a fishbowl filled with fog, but fashionably. I couldn’t see the horizon, my instructor, or my self-esteem—but I could see the instruments, and that’s what matters.Pros:Blocks out distractions like beautiful scenery, birds, and confidence.Makes you look like you’re about to perform laser eye surgery in a Cessna.Doubles as a birth control device—no one finds these attractive.Cons:Tempting to wear while driving just to see if you "still got it"—don’t.Once, I accidentally wore them into a Starbucks. Still passed my "approach" to the counter.10/10 would lose situational awareness again.

Super comfortable
Got these to do a little refresher instrument work. They are surprisingly comfortable, even with a headset on. I just wore them for an hour straight with no problem at all. The view blockage is not quite right for me, but pretty close. I can see out the side window toward the bottom, but after just focusing on looking straight ahead at instruments and not cheating I quickly got used to it and didn't really notice it anymore. The rest of the view is good. The only other problem is that they're white, on a late afternoon flight the sunlight was really bad - I may end up covering the opaque part with tape, but it would have been nice if they already came shaded.Otherwise they're comfortable and feel pretty durable. I sometimes use reading glasses and I haven't tried these with glasses on but they appear to be big enough to fit over them.

Works or IFT training
Works but should be dark on the top. I added a dark piece of tape and helped with the glare

Durable
Very durable. I throw them in my backseat and they never seem to break. Were perfect for my IFR training and currency.

This is a great product when you want to only be able to see the controls. It fits well.

Great quality training glasses
Got these for my 18-year-old son, who is just starting flight school, moving toward his aeronautical degree. He loves the fit, the quality, and the comfort of these glasses. These were one of several requirements for the class, so we were happy to find them here on Amazon at a reasonable price. Prime shipping got them to us quickly and before the first lesson.Highly recommended!
