Best Flaring tool Ever!
This flaring tool is perfect, no messing around with screw handles. The other thing I like is you don't have to de-bur, it's just one and done. The flare to flare nut fitment is perfect each time (or at least with the limited times I've used it). Works with my cordless Makita drill set on high which is around 2,200RPM's. The manufacturer requires a minimum RPM drill speed of 1,800 in order to get the right amount of friction heat. I'm just a DIY guy so it should last me forever, couldn't tell you how long it would last for actual tradesmen. However, it's used on soft copper so, should last for a long time.

Use it with Domestic Copper to avoid splits.
Does a great job of flaring. You just have to make sure the drill is completely straight with the copper and that you are flaring high quality copper (made in USA) and not cheap thin wall copper (made in China). Also, use a glove because the copper gets extremely hot about 3 feet away from the flare.

This flare spin is a great idea but needs a lot more work
I’ve seen videos of this product showing how it works. I don’t know who is responsible for posting the testimonial video but they are using the wrong nut. They use a compression nut with a flare and although it has the same thread pitch and count per inch it is the wrong nut. This flare needs to be able to work with a flare nut which has a taper to the body of the nut and is more snug fit to the pipe and is a more robust heavier duty nut and joint overall. This flare spin is a great idea but needs a lot more work.. needs to be designed to be used in tandem with a lubricant and needs to not affect the OD of the incoming pipe to the flare so as the flare nut can easily slip over the flare so as to sped up the process of making the connection. Bottom line .. a guy doesn’t need to be sitting there all day trying to make a joint should take seconds to connect securely. Nice work .. hurry up with the update.

Great product, never going back to traditional flaring tool
I was apprehensive at first to try this style of flaring system for ductless hvac system because I had been using a clutched eccentric orbital flare tool for years,These are worth every penny easy flares that do not leak or fracture.

Good intentions but
Bought this for a mini-split thinking it would be fast and easyNo such luck ,to many variables1st drill has to a high speed drill ,1800RPMs or more2nd you have to be dead on level and straightThese 2 items have to be made to get proper flare not to mention the copper tubing gets extremely hot while usingIf your not careful you’ll get a bad flare and a bad burn3rd the price for this is extremely highTo me it’s wasn’t worth itSent it backBut hey, if you think you can do the the 2 items to get flare without burning yourself and can afford itKnock yourself out, might work for you
