Versatile and Nice
It works really well for an airplane pillow. Change it from a neck pillow to more a traditional pillow took just a minute to figure out (best way is to hold and fill as much as I could from the one form to another, then stuff the fabric in). But it's comfortable and my son and I used both ways for a long 16 hour flight. Used it for my head and my lower back and both were great.

Good
This is good. I am doing a lot of resting due to surgery and can't sleep in bed, so this helps when sitting up on couch. If I travel in the future, I will bring is along!! Thumbs up on this one

which is great for my daily bus commute to and from work ...
This pillow is very interesting...It literally flips between either a neck pillow or a pillow pillow, which is great for my daily bus commute to and from work (I spend 3 hours a day on a bus). Depending on conditions on the bus (which style bus, whether I get two seats or one, etc) influences how I want to sleep, and having a transformable pillow is very knifty! It's soft and plush, the microbeads are comfortable, there's very little to really complain about.However...When it's flipped over onto the pillow, it feels like they made the pillow size a tad to big because the microbeads don't really fill it, whereas, on the reverse, it's sometimes a good five minute task getting the pillow slipped into neck-shape mode because the neck is a little small and it takes finagling and finesse to stuff all the microbeads in. And there's only a little clip on the transformation with the neck pillow, which can be inconvenient when I have it as a pillow-pillow and don't have time to flip it back unless I happen to wake up near the end of my commute. All in all, my complaints are minor and don't take away from the attraction of this pillow! The money I spent on it was well worth it!

Family of 5: each loves their travel pillow!
Mom here: I went through several purchase/returns on travel pillows before I came across this. And, YES, finally found the travel pillow I love! AND...SO DOES MY FAMILY!!! I bought 5 of them (we'll be traveling much) for each family member for Christmas (hey, only slightly better than getting socks for a gift..LOL) and they enjoyed them right away. Everyone liked the reversal feature and the feel of the fabric. (one child has sensory disorder with his Autism, so that was huge for me.). They like the micro-beads, not foam. So for us, this was a great purchase. We do wish there was a closure or fastener under the chin, but nothing a quick safety pin can't handle if needed. Or like me, I sewed on some velcro for a closure. Yes, the zipper is a little hard to zip when you go to reversing it, but nothing worth complaining about unless you're a toddler who needs mommy to do it for you. Quit whining and just push the beads down harder, then zip. Overall, this pillow fit everyone's need in the family and worth every penny for comfort of traveling with kids!

Too Thick
I bought this for long haul air travel, so reviewing based on my experience with economy class seats for several airlines as an average-sized guy.The pillow is just a little too thick for me. In the neck pillow variation, I found that I could make it work with some effort, but only with my seat reclined. In the upright position my head was being pushed towards my chest when using it.As a lumbar pillow, it was hilariously bad. It nearly pushed me out of one seat and made the others way too short. On a seat with more length, it would probably be fine but I haven't found that I need a travel pillow in those situations. The thickness of the pillow was the only issue I had. Everything else was either great or not a bother.

Do not buy!
I had bought this pillow to use on a long flight from NY to London. When I first got on the plane I noticed there was a product tag still on the pillow. I tried to take the tag off very carefully, but it ended up tearing the seam and all the beans came out of the pillow and made a mess. I ended up throwing it out right then and there. I was shocked that a Samsonite product could have such shotty craftsmanship. Big waste of money and I ended up on an extra long flight without a neck pillow.

Don’t rip off the tag!
Love this pillow. Bought two, one for my husband and one for myself for plane trip over to Europe. Comfortable, has a hook for clipping onto my backpack and love the fact it converts to a regular little pillow. HOWEVER, the beads on the inside are not contained within any type of liner. On the way out the door, my husband ripped the tag off his, spitting the seam open and thousands of micro beads went everywhere. Obviously, I had to get the vacuum out and clean everything up before leaving. Moral of the story, buy the pillow… CUT the tag off.
