Walker Quiet-Flow SS 21548 Direct Fit Exhaust Muffler 2.5" Inlet (ID) 2.5" Outlet (ID) for Chrysler 300

I initially tested my modified 5.3l truck without any muffler. These were idling tests around 650RPM. All tests were done near the bumper 2ft off the garage floor. The exhaust stopped under the passenger back seat.No mufflers at all = 101+DBThrush Muffler (NYS Salt destroyed outside casing) = 95+DBWalker Quiet-flow SS 21548 (This purchase) = 87+DBThis muffler works well and I can finally talk to my passenger's inside without yelling. I can actually hear my tires on the road at 60+mph. I have only driven a few miles with this on but the quality feels good. The design seems to allow better flow in the higher RPM and a mellow tone during idle. I can easily hear my Truck Norris camshaft at idle!This louder than OEM but comfortable for those who want a little bit of sound.

I replaced the muffler that came with my used 2004 Silverado 6.0. The previous muffler was very loud AND had drone, which is super annoying.With this muffler drone sound is gone. Sound is slightly louder then oem but not loud or obnoxious. My neighbors saying they can't hear my truck starting anymore in their house :-)

Almost a 1-star...After having a new 2.5" Magnaflow CAT-back dual exhaust installed on my 2017 Explorer Sport, the drone at low rpm was too painful on the teeth fillings and sinus canals in my head. Unfortunately the muffler shop didn't know how to fix this.Before going at building two custom J-Pipes to cancel out the drone frequency, I researched and found these quiet-flow mufflers in hopes of a simpler solution to sjmply exchange out the Magnaflow mufflers.Given new exhaust system was welded stainless steel end to end, I had to cut out rear section and use a 2.5" stainless steel pipe kit to reconfigure.A key thing I did, purely by accident, was I installed the mufflers closer to the rear differential thus the actual exhaust outlets are a good +12" before the rear bumper.I drove with this setup to test and extremely disappointed my exhaust was now louder than the Magnaflow and the drone was even more pronounced.After kicking tools around the garage and giving myself a couple days to cool off, I installed exhaust tip extensions using the pipe I had to make sure the aesthetics were fixed and to simply make sure exhaust gasses and heat exited outside of underbody.To my pleasant surprise when I started it up,,, not only was the exhaust much quieter (not stock, but not like the Magnaflow) but the drone is gone. I'm sure an engineer can tell me how that happened, however it's something I never read about in any of research.Lastly, given this product requires directional flow it's easy to get confused by the mfg stamped instructions on the muffler. Most would assume a stamped arrow represents the flow direction, however this mfg stamps the word "Inlet" with the arrow (doing so on the outlet side of the muffler). It's not the flow, it truly is pointing the side of the muffler where the inlet is. Thus flow runs opposite the arrow.

This muffler is not a quiet muffler for a four cylinder engine. Muffler will turn your quiet four cylinder engine’s exhaust into an obnoxious tone.

Easy to install

2021 Ford F-150 with the 2.7 ecoboost. Muffler restricts flow very bad, more restriction than the stock muffler. Engine also runs warmer than normal since installing muffler. Muffler flow inlet is correct. Will be replacing with a Flowmaster 70 series muffler

I bought this for my 04 f150 5.4 which I bought recently, it is my daily driver (and in california) so I didn’t want it to be a loud exhaust. The vehicle came with a flow master muffler which I replaced with the walker quietflow ss, and it really quieted down my 5.4 v8. I’m very happy with the end result.

When I bought my 04 Mustang GT, it had a cat delete H pipe and flowmaster 40's, over the axle system, Horribly loud. I was a bit worried the exhaust would still be too loud with just the Walkers, but I was surprised, they are quiet, but still has a nice low rumble. They sound very good.

Bought 2 to replace really loud ones On my car, They solved the drone problem I had and have a nice sound,But they are for sure louder than stock and already have surface rust,But overall pleased,

All good except the inlet and outlet were exactly the same size. The outlet should be enough smaler for the tailpipe @ 2.5" to go over the outlet. Other than that, very quiet.
