The Right choice for most jobs
I’ve become a zealous steam cleaning enthusiast. I love how it gives you a deep and durable clean that stays nice much longer than normal spray and wipe cleaning. But steam cleaning for all its advantages is highly dependent on technique for optimal results. For instance if you are cleaning grout you need some microfiber cloths to wipe up the dirt and grime that is flushed out by the steam lest it just settle back into the floor. What’s this got to do with this specific brush head? Well in my experience this is the best brush to use in almost all cases. The shortness of the nylon bristles gives them added strength for more effective scouring, while being less harsh than the brass brush which can damage delicate surfaces such as your floor’s grout. And the blue scouring pad has some utility it’s very fragile and in most cases is less effective than this short nylon brush. Compared to the longer nylon brush, there is no comparison in my experience. The longer bristles don’t clean well and seem more prone to warping and bending due to the heat of the steam. I’m not saying the long bristles don’t have their use, just that I haven’t found it yet. If I could only buy one type of brush head for the steamer this would be it. Second choice would be brass, third the scouring pad, and I wouldn’t bother with the long bristle nylon head.
