Johnson Hardware1560 Commercial Grade Pocket Door Frame (36" x 80"), Steel Studs

I installed a pocket door in a bathroom in a shop that had 2”x6” walls. The hardware is very strong and I see that it willlast years. The action is very smooth. The installation was straight forward. It took some time to complete because I had never installed a pocket door before.

Finally bought something online that is quality! It installed the way you say. Simple instructions 10 minute install...THANK YOU JOHNSON HARDWARE!

The brackets were missing to hold the door had to make adjustments disappointed.

The Johnson 1560 is a well constructed pocket door system for a 2x6 wall. When compared to the what you can purchase at the big box stores, you get what you pay for. This thing is solid when built correctly.If you are installing this in an existing wall expect this to to take 3-4 days for demolition/framing/refinishing. The walls in my 25 year old house were warped and out of square, which required rebuilding in order to properly house a pocket door.*Word of advice - Mark and Predrill your trim so that your screws don't split the wood or slip the steel studs.The Good:- Well constructed- Install not overly complicatedThe Bad:- Instructions are poor (Johnson website videos and YouTube are your friends)- Johnson does not make a jamb kit for a 2x6 wall so you are left to fashion one yourself

If you can't figure this out you shouldn't be installing it. Directions are perfectly fine. Over all a solid frame but few add ons make for a better install like the door guides and the clips to install plywood between the steel studs. It would be nice if a trim kit was availably for this 2x6 wall unit.

Simple and easy to install

This was easy to install and worked perfectly. Our contractor was pleased with the overall quality of the product and mentioned the rollers are excellent quality.

Great product, very good quality, easy install. Wish I had more area's to use more.
