Works as expected
Worked exactly as expected. I have a 2008 Infinity EX35 Journey with Bluetooth phone and navigation but not audio strangely enough. It has an auxiliary port in the center console for "ipod integration" but it works for Android as well. I used the 30 pin auxiliary input cable that came with the car but you can buy them on Amazon for $19. I connected that to the auxiliary port in the console then plugged that into a Bovee WMA1000 wireless Bluetooth music interface adapter that can be bought on Amazon for $84. To the Bovee I plugged in this 12v to 5v charging converter $24 and plugged a 6 inch USB to USB mini cable $10 to the converter to power it as it doesn't work otherwise. I plugged the USB end of the cable into a cigarette lighter charger adapter $8 and then plugged that into the cigarette lighter port also in my center console. So the whole thing is about 8 inches long and fits just fine in the console without taking up hardly any room. It has worked flawlessly every time even reconnecting and picking up right where it left off when you get back in the car. You just gave to select AUX on the control panel. I'm putting all this out there because it took me a month of lurking in car eek sites to get a basic understanding of what I needed because this was all Greek to me. Pretty damn proud of myself. 😉

Update 1/17/20: It Works! Just Received, Does not accept Iphone Lightening Connector, so worthless
The 30 pin male/female receiver fit into the Invery Bluetooth Adaptor but my Lightening Connector for my iPhone 6s will not fit into the X-Perts-USA receiver on the side making the item useless. I have sent a message to the supplier to attempt to get this issue rectified. If no solution by Tuesday 12/31/19. I will just return both items and call it a day. Kind of a hassle, not sure if worth the effort. Will probably just go to a local Stereo Shop and update my Radio to Bluetooth compatible.Update 1/17/20: It Works! Updated Rating to 5 Stars, once we added the power adaptor Bluetooth recognized my iPhone. I think this information should be noted before purchasing but after many emails to the helpdesk we were able to correct. I am very happy with the quality of sound

Works fine for anything other than Volvo iPod adapter
Works fine, pass through and charging okay. But does NOT allow iPod function to work with P2 Chassis (2001-2007 V70, S60, S80, S60) Volvo Cars with AirDual Bluetooth adapter.

Perfect from the get-go
Perfect right out of the ziplock bag. Converts my old '04 X5 back into a nearly new technology car. Audio quality just fabulous, totally beating the earlier iPod sound, highs and lows, I'd had to live with without an adapter. Other adapter suppliers had disappeared over the years. I'd long searched for this charging adapter, just hadn't found Xtenzi 'til now. Hope others find it so the great Generation 4 iPods can live on, as they should!

Dazed, confused, frustrated....
After trying bovee1000 and invery bluetooth receivers in my 2006 maserati GS equipped with a becker entertainment system with a factory 30 pin ipod aux cable, I could not get either to work. There just wasn’t any power getting to these very well reviewed units. This totally flummoxed me as I have had a NAXA NAB 4000 bluetooth receiver connected for a few years now and it powers up when I start the car. There’s just a lot of interference noise. It’s a bose home entertainment compatible unit after all and not meant for use in cars. Also my old ipod classic works as well if I plug that in too....power, everything. After further research I decided to try this unit as I read that some similar adapters require 5v not 12.After this unit was delivered I plugged it in and attached the invery receiver and nothing. No power. After extensive back and forth with customer service I was told that I needed to an auxiliary micro usb power cable to plug into this unit from my cigar lighter outlet, which totally defeats the object of what I’m trying to do. Add that I still have had no explanation as to why this unit, or the bovee and invery receivers don’t draw power from my cable when other devices do!!Extenzi customer service is quick to respond via text only. However English is plainly not their first language and consequently a lot of detail gets lost in translation...,very frustrating!Additionally, the product description and tech specs etc on their Amazon site is vague to say the least and makes no mention of any additional power and micro usb cable requirements. The product description is exactly the same for bovee, invey and coolwave etc bluetooth receivers verbatim, as well as very vague and incomplete.I am finding this while upgrade project of mine frustrating and confusing (particularly when some devices draw power and some don’t, and particularly when nobody from bovee, invery or extenzi can explain why). I know all my local ups store personel by their first names now, for all the returns I have made so far.Bottom line, if you want to achieve streaming music to your car’s entertainment system expect to go through extensive trial and error with no help.On to the goliton 30 pin pass through adapter!!

alpine let me down
the item works as advertised and the sound quality is not affected, but is too big and obsolete for alpine models like mine iva-d106 made in 2011 and not updated for this issue.

Works as advertised
Nothing too special. I connected this immediately after receiving it to the 30-pin connector my 2009 Nissan Murano uses, then connected a 30-pin to lightning adapter and it charges my iPhone XS without issues. I later bought a bluetooth adapter and it worked as well. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is the fact that mine never came with a micro-usb cable used to connect to my usb charger so I had to provide my own. However, overall, this worked straight out of the packaging so I'm satisfied.

Works well
I needed this because my brand new iPod Touch would say "Charging not supported with this accessory" when I connected it to my brand new 2009 Nissan Maxima's iPod interface cable. I saw cheaper products on Amazon but their reviewers complained that their connectors didn't latch and tended to become disconnected from the iPod. Their complaints convinced me to choose this product. I have not been disappointed -- my iPod now charges in the car, and the cable doesn't become disconnected unless I initiate it.
