Excellent non slip rug pad.
I recently purchased the 8x10 non-slip rug pad, and the quality is outstanding. It does exactly what it's supposed to—keeps the rug in place. The rubber backing is a great feature for helping it not slip around. The pad is easy to cut down to size if needed, making it versatile for different rug dimensions. When it arrived, it was folded up, and it did take a few hours to sit completely flat, but now there are no issues with it. There was a slight odor at first, but it dissipated quickly and didn't linger. The thickness of the pad is also a nice feature, adding an extra layer of comfort underfoot. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this rug pad. It's a great product that enhances both the safety and comfort of any rug.

Works very well
3rd pad we've purchased as so pleased with the prior ones. Necessary for keeping rugs from sliding around, and to provide comfortable softness. The thickest 1/2" pad feels very comfortable. Only suggestion I have to other purchasers is that yes, it's easy to trim as advertised --- provided you use heavy duty scissors designed for carpets and carpet pads. (Amazon suggested the CJET Tool 10" scissors and after I had trouble trimming my last Mohawk pad with all-purpose bandage scissors ("can cut a penny!"), and couldn't find anything else in my relatively large tool box that was any better, the carpet scissors made it a breeze. Other brands of carpet scissors may work just as well.)

From thin and flat to thick and cushy!
We bought this rug pad to go beneath the rug under our dining room table. The rug is thin, and had no cushion at all, but we liked the pattern and color of it, so we wanted to improve its wearability and softness. A quality rug pad was the answer! The rug pad has a nice non-slip backing, and once it's in place, it's not easy to move it. Since we bought a 9x12 size, it took both my husband and I to wrangle it into place. It's a little larger than my actual rug, but we can easily trim the rug pad to fit as needed. Best of all, it takes a cheap-feeling and looking rug and elevates it to a luxury experience underfoot! It's so much softer and cushier underfoot, and truly makes the rug feel much higher quality. For the price we paid, we are very happy with this purchase!

Excellent Thick Resilient Under Rug Pad
This is the best rug pad I've ever purchased. Bottom is rubber and top is some mix of recycled felt and super "grabby" texture. I got the 8x10 for a new rug and it fulfilled my expectations and will protect both the rug and the flooring beneath, as well as keep the rug from slipping from position. It is a massive step up in quality from the common white waffle rug pads -- there is just no comparison. I knocked a point off for the smell (LOL), as it is pretty stinky of chemicals. Spread out without the rug on it, it dissapated fairly well in 24 hours, but was still there somewhat when I put the rug down. With the rug in place, I no longer smell it. I did have to trim the edges since my rug was somewhat less than 8x10, and it was a firm material to cut, but I just used my heavy duty scissors and made quick work of it. I do highly recommend this product -- even with a couple days of stinkiness!

Feels great. Works well.
These rug pads work great. No slippage on the floor and once walked on a few times, no slippage on the carpet ether. the 1/2" thickness is tough to cut to size, but they make the rugs feel so good under my feet, it is well worth the effort. After seeing how great these work, I immediately bought 2 more for my other rugs.

Awesome
I read a lot of reviews on these because I was concerned about damaging our hardwood floors. So far so good there. The pad grips the floor and the rug well. A lot of people complained of the odor in their reviews, ours did not have an odor. People also spoke to the difficulty of cutting the mat. It is made of a durable material but is no match for a carpet knife or good, sharp scissors. Cheap office scissors will not work.

Comfortable, no odor issue!
Purchased this in a smaller size for my foyer to test quality and whether it smelled bad, like many have mentioned. No odor at all, so I went ahead and purchased the larger size that I needed. Again, no odor issues. Each arrived folded up but laid flat quickly. They aren’t perfect measures so they needed a bit of a trim on one side (about 1-2”) but otherwise work great at adding comfort to a thin rug as well as keeping them in place. Our dogs run around and used to shift the rugs during play, but now they stay in place! Definitely happy with the purchase!

Functions great. Smell and packaging questionable
I ordered three of these of varying sizes.Functionally all of them work as intended. I have them both on carpet and hard laminate flooring. They keep the rug from slipping around and flipping up. A bit annoying that they come folded into squares because they need some time to lay flat and who has a free 8x10 space to block off to just let their rug pat sit? (Okay well I don’t)Overall minus one star because I destroyed a pair of scissors with these. The fibers get caught between the blades and my scissor blades are starting to separate from one another. My first rug pad is great. It was an 8x10 that I cut down to fit a 7’6x9’6. There was minimal to no smell that went away within the day. I have rug on top of carpet and it works perfectly to make the rug stay down. If the rest were like that I would give 4 stars. Also the felt was softer and fluffier. The next two (a 6x9 and a 2x4) had a smell on the felt out of the bag but that went away fast. The smell that did NOT go away fast was the rubber side. I have had one of the rug pads for like a week now and when I wake up and go into the living room I can smell a hint of the rubber siding. I did a sniff test of my first rug pad vs the second and third one and the rubber definitely smells different. I have been waiting for the newer two to air out but they have definitely been taking longer than the first one. I have an air purifier running and have tried some deodorizers. I can’t leave it outside due to poor AQI. So yeah minus another star for the smell on the two newer ones which maybe were part of a different batch? The felt on the newer ones is darker and I feel like it’s less soft.Overall it’s reliable and I’m not super smell sensitive like some people but some of the features are annoying.

Excellent
We used it over rough plank flooring with a Persian Rug and it was excellent. It unpacks easily, lies flat, stays in place, and arrives very clean with few random fibres. I’ve already bought another one … highly recommend.

Great for hardwood or laminate floors and very soft cotton rugs.
This is a 5 star product. We were desperate with our huge 8.6"x11.6" cotton woven rug just bunching up and looking horrible. I finally decided it was either spend the money for a rug pad or throw the darn rug away. I opted for the first and I am glad I did. I have laminate floors. The rug pad keeps the rug in place, straight as new and we use it in the kids playroom. I highly recommend it for cotton rugs ( very slippery ones) on hard wood or laminate flooring. It is not very thick but my rug already is, so I didn't need it to be. The size is ok too, a bit smaller than the rug but it looks and works fine.
