I’ve tried a lot of air fresheners in my middle school classroom, and this one is a winner. The Lavender and Almond Blossom scent is soft and calming—noticeable, but not overwhelming. It’s strong enough to cover up the… let’s say unique aroma of preteens who haven’t quite figured out deodorant yet, without giving anyone a headache. The refill lasts a decent amount of time, and I like that it uses essential oils instead of harsh chemicals. Definitely my go-to for keeping the classroom fresh!

They work fairly well. But getting the timing and the intensity is rather difficult. I either had no scent. Or just enough. It depends on the person.

*Edit: Mine didn't work because I bought the wrong oil containers!! I was using the oils meant for the PLUG IN dispenser. This dispenser is battery only and needs a different oil container to work. Be sure you are buying the right oil for your dispenser. I am changing my stars from 1 to 5.*Original misguided, negative review below:Like almost all the other one-star reviewers, mine didn't work either. It comes on and disperses. Then, it shuts off and never comes on again. I have to open the bottom, take out the scent, put the scent back in, put the whole thing back together and turn off-on to get another dispense of scent. I think, for some reason, the Air Wick Plug In Scented Oil Refill Air Freshner (also bought from this seller) doesn't *click* into place and that is what is causing the problem. It works initially because I've jammed the refill into place but after it runs, I think the refill bottle drops down, out of position. At least, that's my guess. I'm not sure if this gadget is an older version and my refills require a new one or vice versa. But, it's not working and I don't recommend.

I have been using this diffuser in my bathroom because there is only one electrical outlet there and I need the outlet for things like shavers and hairdryers--so no plug-in air fresheners for me. I like that an apple scent is available, since I'm sensitive to many other, especially floral, scents. I find that the fragrance is not long-lasting, though, and I have to re-order fragrance oil more often than I'd like, even though the diffuser only runs 8 hours a day (why?). Batteries have to be replaced in groups of three at a time, and they're also an expense. I find that, over time, the oil collects in the bottom of the diffuser, which is the piece that must be removed to replenish oil and batteries; the oil gets on my hands. I am looking for another solution.
