NRSVCE, Illustrated Catholic Bible, Leathersoft, Black, Comfort Print: Holy Bible

This Bible is gorgeous, and I absolutely love the space available for notes, as well as the single column text. Dimensions are just right for carrying it around, it’s very lightweight, and the cover is pretty durable. The pictures are very unique—adding much life to the text—and I find the NRSV translation to read nicely. There are some maps and cross references at the end, but if you are looking for a Bible abundant in footnotes, this isn’t the one for you. I have no issue looking to the internet for context, so I didn’t mind. Also, the pages are very very thin, so notes are only possible if using pencil, pen will easily bleed through. Overall, this Bible is unique and aesthetically pleasing with fairly large text (easy on the eyes). I included an example of what the typical page looks like, and my hand for size reference.

Beautiful! I love the cover, the pages. It’s a large bible and the illustrations are very nice. I feel closer to god already by having this in my home. It also contains a brief history of the NRSV publication. I think it’s well worth the price. Can’t put a price on salvation, really.

This is my first Catholic Bible as I am in OCIA currently. It truly is beautiful but not too beautiful you don’t want to open it. It’s large and not a bible I will take out of the house but it’s a perfect family Bible. The paper feels soft buttery smooth, love the font it’s readable with good leading space. Not much ghosting, you won’t be distracted by words peeking through on the other pages. The pictures are cool to see what the imagery was like back in the 16th century. I love the single column it makes reading it easier on the eyes.

Although I usually read the RSV, this is the coolest Bible I own. The art is beautiful and the layout of the text is like reading a Novel.

This Bible is very cute. I bought it for my 3 year old granddaughter and cannot wait to read it with her. Such adorable art work throughout the Bible. The quality is nice and the cover is beautiful. I would recommend this bible for sure.

I went through a few bibles and this one was just right. Not too big or too small. Translation so far is good. I started with ESV, then RSV. I thought a more literal translation would be a good start but I think it’s better to read that after you understand/know all the stories. The book itself is beautiful and so is the art😍 None of the pages were stuck because of the gold edges and little bleed through from the texts compared to others I purchased

Got this bible for one of my religious education students and she was so excited. The bible is so precious (no pun intended). It has pictures, and the leather is very soft.

My husbands god daughter got baptized and it made for the perfect first Bible. When the parents opened it the mother said how she had one as well growing up so it was a very sweet moment.
